There is a lot of talk about KDB and MC Tominay for obvious reasons, but those who watch Naples often know that there are other players who are just as dangerous, if not more so, notably Anguissa in the middle who is a physical monster, he is a bit like their Rodri and be very careful with Politano who is a disruptive winger on their right side with Di Lorenzo a full-back who brings a lot offensively, finally I think it is better that Ake starts, he who is very good in one against one

Our midfield really worries me. Bernado and Rodri both look off the pace, Tjani has had 1 good game and Phil is only just starting to get back to his best. The rest just aren't good enough.
Pep has always had really good midfielders in his teams ,but atm i have to agree ,midfield seems to be pretty average and definetly worst it has been here under Pep

Don’t worry, Bernardo and Tijjani will sort it out ;-)

Notice that TNT and Bt before rarely put us on the channel 1 of TNT it’s like when there commentators favour whoever we play and bias!

What me have done over the last 10+ years they still treat us like vermin!

genuine q here but would you have given him a season at that, take off the blue tinted glasses just for a min, kev is a legend of that there is no doubt but in his last season he was about 1 good game in 10.
On last seasons form, no

This is a very tricky tie against a capable team, with good players who are in good form.

A win for City will be a bonus !!

I can certainly understand your argument, but it isn't just two bad results, is it?
We can go back to before Christmas since we've had any sort of winning habit.

Also the 4-in-a-row is a superb achievement, and a source of genuine pride (as well as a huge 'UP YOURS!' to the red side of town) nevertheless, considering that it includes results from 3-4 years ago, it's questionable whether it carries any weight in terms of being a pointer to where City are right now, surely?

Just my opinion, trying to keep balanced
Tbf since christmas we have taken more points than lpool so we must have had reasonable form to finish third

I want the best team. Tonight's result will be more important than Sunday's. Being ranked in the top 8 in the Champions League will save us from playing two extra matches in January/February against Atletico Madrid or Inter Milan or whoever. Being ranked high in the top 8 will give us a home advantage in the second leg of the round of 16, quarter-finals... the best team wins the Premier League, but it's not always the best team that wins the Champions League. There's the draw, and we don't know what might happen...

We need two wins in a row to regain our confidence. It takes the pressure off us for Sunday's trip to the Emirates.

A draw and a defeat, or even two consecutive defeats, would plunge us back into doubt and negativity. I'm banking on a win tonight and a defeat on Sunday. I'll take 12 points from our next four Champions League games and I'm 7 points behind Liverpool and four points behind Arsenal in the Premier League heading into our home game against Liverpool on November 8.

The team will improve over time as the new players fully integrate, but for now, we need a win and to dispel the doubts, regardless of the quality of the game, not a second consecutive negative result. This is essential for the team's progress.

Rodri, Reijnders, and Foden will be far from average.

I said this earlier on in the week, ever since the tottenham and brighton games people have been moaning about our slow , possession based football, that pep had been found out and we needed to change etc etc SO we change, we play a completely different style, we dont flood forward and allow them to catch us on the break, we contain and hurt them and people are STILL moaning, like i said in that post what people want is for everything to be completely different and yet remain entirely the same.
If we keep pumping the ball back and give Arsenal 70% possesion on Sunday we will get hammered.

We need to still be confident in possesion and choose when to put Haaland through. The last 15 minutes of United was a tough watch. The quality drained from us. The subs didn't help either. Sav was awful when he came on.

yeah ,people are out of their mind if they think Pep will go away from his possesion based football. Players just aren´t good enough or not playing well enough to keep the game under control. One of the reasons is also teams pressing atm ,which is lacking quite a bit , teams lately come out of the press pretty easily or play around it.
