North Stand expansion - seating, ticketing etc

Yeah, just had an email about that as I sit in the North Stand bottom tier. Luckily my seat isn't affected, but feel for those who are being shunted out just to make way for more corporate fans.
Snap. Are we seriously going to put corporate seats behind a goal? Should create a great atmosphere for the first 10 minutes of each half...

They are forcing out 500 season ticket holders from behind the goal to make way for a corporate ticket for City Hall. Another example of our great clubs disregard for "Legacy Fans"
Where has this been stated?

Just asking as it kind of contracticts what is in the approval. If I'm reading that right.

Prawn butties behind a goal. Diabolical.

Looking at the photo's on Instagram they are having screens to order drinks on with different collection points

Emails have been sent out this morning to season ticket holders saying they will be moved unless they want to pay corporate prices.

I have had the email this morning to say I need to move my 4 seats. Been sat in the same seats since the stadium opened, cup scheme every season, probably missed 3 or 4 games in 20 odd years and this is the loyalty the club shows.
Had most of the people who sit around me kicked out for one reason or another (Family stand, too old, no kids etc). Atmosphere in the stand has gone bad and now going to be even worse.
After the Real Madrid home game last season where we were pretty much the only City fans I thought about giving up, I am really considering it now (had a season ticket since 1987). so pissed off with the club

Yeah gathered that, sorry I meant where is the stated area?

The only 'corporate' within the stand (excluding the top level VIP) is the 650 odd GA+ seats. That sounds like it is on the tier below though. Are we talking about the same area as highlighted in yellow below? Or is it a different area.

What are corporate prices?

Trying to work out if they're actually putting hospitality behind the goal (fucking insane decision) or just charging a shit ton for normal people to have those seats (morally bad exploitation of the fans).

Are they planning on some sort of half seasont ticket for the north stand ope ign in Jan to the end of the season?
Think that would do well

They have stated the prices yet but the seats are towards the back on the lower tier behind the goal area

Not sure exact location but lower tier towards the back of 035 / 036 area

Sounds like the GA+ seats will be in-between the old the new sections now (where they haven't put the new seats in yet) rather than the front rows of tier 2 as was in the planning.

In addition, two new bar spaces will be added to the expanded North Stand:

  • Cross Bar: Located at the start of the expanded section, this space will welcome around 300 fans and offer a relaxed, social atmosphere.
  • City Hall: A new experience for around 500 fans on matchdays, and a hub for events on non-matchdays. This enhanced bar experience will be located at the back of Level 0 (formerly known as Level 1).

Level 0 (former level 1) it says in the article.

Sounds like we are talking about the same thing then the GA+.

The confusing thing is the statement says 'to accommodate the city hall'. Which is technically not really true.

Yea that was the bit that confused me. Not sure that's right though, might be badly worded.

Without unravelling the whole GA+ all over again (at least not on this thread as there is another for allocation), the area highlighted on yellow in my previous post has always been planned in. It is by all accounts the equivalent to current Joes offerings, and while a hospitality level, it is not 'true' corporate, in the sense it is still for regular blues, but those that pay more for prime seats and a more dedicated bar.

Unless the emails refer to something else, hence trying to establish which area that is.
