North Stand expansion - seating, ticketing etc

Just out of interest.

Does anyone know if those EXCLUSIVE 500 City Hall bar experience/seats are part of the original GA+ seats, or are they an addition to the GA+ seats at the front of the tier?

That is the very question.

That is the very question.

I thought City Hall was one huge Hall which held 1000’s of City fans? Stand corrected.

Are these 500 City fans going to have their own bar in City Hall?

The smaller bar which is in the PA, under the stand, with steps directly leading to the front seats?

Is that bar for the GA+ fans sat at the front of the tier?

The number was 650 initially iirc and we’re now at 800 over the two areas, going off the announcement, so it would seem we are being drip fed corporate announcements to lessen the impact

I sit in the circled section with my son and this is the email i received this morning.

It is very confusing, do we have to relocate or not?

We are getting in touch with some important information regarding your Season Ticket at the Etihad Stadium.

Later today, the Club will be sharing news about the North Stand expansion - including key ticketing updates and details of new matchday experiences. This announcement will include details of City Hall, a new enhanced bar experience for around 500 fans on matchdays, and a hub for events on non-matchdays. This will be located at the back of Level 0 (formerly known as Level 1).

To accommodate this ground-floor space, seating at the back of North Stand Level 0 (formerly known as Level 1) will be allocated to City Hall ticket holders from the 2026/27 season onwards. This includes your current seat.

We understand this is unsettling news, so we wanted you to be the first to know.

And while you do not need to make any decisions until later in the season, we want to take this moment to assure you we’re here to make this process as smooth as possible.

To help with this, you can find information below about the options available to you.

Priority relocation window: You will have first choice on any available general admission seat in the Etihad Stadium. This includes the option to relocate to the expanded North Stand or stay within Level 0 (formerly known as Level 1).

Regardless of where you relocate — even if it’s to a more expensive general admission area - your ticket price will remain the same for the next two seasons (2026/27 and 2027/28).

Option to remain in your current seat: You have first refusal on your seat and are welcome to enjoy the new enhanced bar experience. Please note, the standard rate for this space will apply.

Friends and Family: We recognise that matchdays are about more than just football — they’re about spending time with those around you. With this in mind, we’re making it possible for you to relocate alongside friends or family, even if they’re not directly affected by the changes.

As stated above, you do not need to make any decisions at this moment in time. In early 2026, we will share further information about the specific seats available to you. You will then choose your selected seat during the 2026/27 Season Ticket Renewal Window later in the season.

In the meantime, if you have any questions or would like to speak with someone directly, our Fan Support team is available to assist. We can also arrange an in-person conversation at the Etihad Stadium should you prefer to discuss your options face-to-face.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support. We’re committed to making this transition as smooth as possible by finding a solution which works for you.

Unfortunately, this section outlines that you will have to relocate:

if because of cost ( prices unknown at present ) your thinking i might not be able or justify cost id move in first window because in 2 season you might struggle to locate togeher and decent seats ( doesnt effect me so easy to say)

This is how I read it. Relative to how the building is actually being built as below.

1000064234.jpg

1. The GA+ has always been planned, the seats are approved in that location (golden yellow or whatever colour that is). They link directly to a 300 ish capacity 'private' bar on the same level (Cross Bar). They can function as hospitality because of that. They do share the concourse the toilets and etc, but they do have their own bar that supprts that number. And are also in a prime location to merit the extra price.

2. The sky bar and suites up above the main tier remain unchanged. That was always separate and additional.

3. The city hall shown in blue has always been planned. That has never however been mooted as any level of premium or hospitality.

I am don't see the GA+ changing. Or relocating to the level above as @HelloCity you have argued/shown. That makes no sense, neither how it would function, nor commercially. You'd be charging a premium to them out those 648 people into a 6300 capacity concourse bar. Why would anyone pay that. And what do you then do with the dedicated smaller 300 capacity bar below, if you move the seats away from it.

The question for me is, are the club upping the price of a portion of seats on that level to benefit from the city hall. And is that in addition to the GA+.

OR, are the seat relocations within the GA+ area to allow for the premium offering, and it is badly worded by the club. And they have used the city hall instead of the cross bar, to make it seem like a less hospitality driven move. If it were only for the club statement and the approval, I would think that to be the case. The emails to people sat in those seats do muddy it more though.

The city hall has a capacity of 1800. Makes no sense to subdivide it into a 500 bar within that, because it fucks their whole intention for it. And also their model on non-match days which is a big part of it.

They might pick some 500 seats to increase the price of as they now benefit from having direct access to a more desirable larger bar with more blues in it. But don't think there will be a dedicated hospitality offering as such within that. Could be wrong.

I think the wording has led to a bit of confusion and conclusion based on that.

Or the wording could be deliberately vague and sneaky and there may be more hospitality snuck in, but that's a bit conjecture. The other (currently, to me) makes more sense. Happily hold my hands up if wrong.

GA + not corporate big distinction. GA+ will be City fan season tickets, corporate very different.
Is there a big distinction though? I think someone on here said prices for ss2 are about £1300? That’s completely out of reach for most fans. I’ve been in ‘corporate’ a few times and other than a meal or a drink it’s not that different

At the end of the day is basically very expensive ticket prices or increases.

The difference is blues buying more expensive tickets for a more expensive offering, vs 3rd party reps taking people who have no interest in City or maybe even football for a day out for sales/PR shmoozing.

Which will no doubt happen in the skybar bit, but hopefully not in the GA+ bit as part of the single stand.

What better way to further increase GA+ on level 0 than to have a massive bar space & other facilities, comfortably used by only 500 people, while the rest look on with envy queuing 100 deep for a pint :) that 500 would be a 1000 the season after

Sorry, forgot to add in the sky bar :)

Green - Sky Bar seats
Yellow - Cross Bar seats
Pink - City Hall seats

If I'm not mistaken the yellow and green would have been pre-existing seats. I've relocated to (new) 135 this season because my family group already sit there. They're in the second to last row before the partition between the old and new seats and there were a few (6?) rows behind them before construction started.

Normal season ticket or Flexi-Gold season ticket?

There is a difference.

This announcement will include details of City Hall, a new enhanced bar experience for around 500 fans on matchdays.
Yeah that was the point i was trying to get at that it looks like the club are referring to a Flexi-Gold under he title of a season ticket, whereas i would think the majority of the fans would consider a season ticket to include all league home games.

Also the criteria of having to have purchased 35 matchday tickets over the past three years also seems very limiting. If i was being cynical i would say its almost like they are saying there will be 4000 new season tickets available but making the purchase criteria so prescriptive that only a small number of fans will qualify and the rest of the allocation will then revert back into the match day sales pot.

A flexi gold does include all home league games , they are just paid for as they come up rather than all upfront, I really dont get why people refer to it as anything other than a season ticket.
