North Stand expansion - seating, ticketing etc

Yeah that was the point i was trying to get at that it looks like the club are referring to a Flexi-Gold under he title of a season ticket, whereas i would think the majority of the fans would consider a season ticket to include all league home games.

Also the criteria of having to have purchased 35 matchday tickets over the past three years also seems very limiting. If i was being cynical i would say its almost like they are saying there will be 4000 new season tickets available but making the purchase criteria so prescriptive that only a small number of fans will qualify and the rest of the allocation will then revert back into the match day sales pot.
I think they’ll reduce the criteria to say 30 games if the take up isn’t there & so on. I’d of liked the club to have offered lapsed STH an opportunity within that 4000, we all know people who have completely stopped for a variety of reasons, just maybe some of those are looking for a way back in

Sounds like the GA+ seats will be in-between the old the new sections now (where they haven't put the new seats in yet) rather than the front rows of tier 2 as was in the planning.

Genuinely interested why you think the GA+ is moving up a level.

'Located at the start of the expanded section' is pretty much exactly where it is in the approval.

I just hope they ensure that 4000 new season tickets are sold, don't know why they don't do it on either loyalty points, or games attended over the last 3 years, with a reducing criteria until all are sold, like they do for away games and cup finals etc.

A flexi gold does include all home league games , they are just paid for as they come up rather than all upfront, I really dont get why people refer to it as anything other than a season ticket.
Ah right, i am not fully up on the Flexi gold situation.

So is it that you have the opportunity to buy every home game in the season? And if you did you would pay the same price as the person sat in the seat next to you who has a "normal" season ticket?

I reckon they’ll honour it, at least for the first few seasons, they know they can reduce numbers over a couple of season if the demand changes

Exactly that.

Exactly that.
Thanks, that me put right then.

On that basis i can't see why they get bad press, seem pretty much like a full season ticket, only difference being that at the outset you only buy tickets for the games you can attend, as opposed to a full season ticket where you buy all matches and then sell the ones you can't attend back to the club.

I hope so. I think 35 games even over a few seasons is quite a lot for most people. Especially if you consider cost and attending with another person as well. Is it just league games?

What’s about the blues that went for years before those seasons? And haven’t been able to attend recently for whatever reason. There could be huge numbers of die hard city fans and locals with zero chance of getting these tickets because of the limited criteria

The area in the lower tier are mainly family and friends who are season ticket holders (me being one of them). Most of us have been together in that area best part of 20 years and a lot of us older ones season ticket holders at Maine Rd. The club are picking us of a section at a time to bring in higher spending day trippers and sugar coating it with "price freezes".

Unfortunately that seems bang on….

I agree, but it does say nobody will be moved for it, and there are currently people in those seats.

Which is why I noted at the start thinking it is poorly worded and people mentioned as moved to 'accommodate the new City Hall' might actually people in those seats.

It could also potentially be that they have simply swapped the two now. The GA+ is now the top of tier one rather than additional hospitality, with thr city hall being their new dedicated bar. And the bottom of tier 2 is GA with access to the cross bar which links to others on that concourse. Would help the stand itself, but a bit shit for the City Hall.

I'm clearly not alone in being confused by the wording here btw.

It’s not the first time it’s happen at city nothing was done last time either

Just out of interest.

Does anyone know if those EXCLUSIVE 500 City Hall bar experience/seats are part of the original GA+ seats, or are they an addition to the GA+ seats at the front of the tier?

An addition.

The lower tier seating amendments are not part of the plans we knew about.

Only speaking for myself but I gave up my season ticket at the end of the four in a row season and haven’t bought one through the club since although I have bought many through friends / forums etc and I have a handful of mates who do the same.

Not really, the vast majority if not all of the GA + seats will be season tickets like 93:20, not matchday tickets. In fact you may well find when offered relocation some of the 500 decide to pay the extra, depending on prices, and stay in their seats.

We don't/can't know that at this point. The first line, not the second.

You could be right of course. But it is a guess.
