Every pound helps rough estimate 6000 x £50 x 25 matches is £7.5m / seasonHow much does our ticket revenue cover player transfers, wages and a multi million pound expansion?

Flexi-golds allows the fan to attend every Prem home game and have the same seat. By your definition they are season cards.Yeah that was the point i was trying to get at that it looks like the club are referring to a Flexi-Gold under he title of a season ticket, whereas i would think the majority of the fans would consider a season ticket to include all league home games.
Also the criteria of having to have purchased 35 matchday tickets over the past three years also seems very limiting. If i was being cynical i would say its almost like they are saying there will be 4000 new season tickets available but making the purchase criteria so prescriptive that only a small number of fans will qualify and the rest of the allocation will then revert back into the match day sales pot.
If it’s reasonably priced in those areas they’ll have no issues selling the STs. Be good for the club to incentivise the younger fans to be ST holders too. It’s been generations since we had so many followers under 25 and we’d be stupid not to tap into that part of the fan baseTo stand behind way back , behind corporates instead of being behind the goal at SS?
after club decided to make this a corporate + kids stand* I'll 1000 % support 1894 or anyone who decides to stay away from the prawn-sandwich stand
*fantastic news to get the 2000 new junior blues on the ST ladder though!
I take all these points but I don’t quite see it the same way. Surely we have a whole ready made area perfect for all kinds of corporate or semi corporate experiences: the second tier. The club are spending £350m on this development it needs to pay back and this involves offering various levels of seating GA, GA+ and then increasing levels of hospitality until the ultimate, Tunnel Club. Consequently there’s going to be some people inconvenienced and it’s not good when it affects you. They also have to increase revenue, to bring us the best players and management team, all this within the constraints of financial controls in a competitive environment. From what I’ve seen they are trying to treat people fairly offering priority over relocation and moving people together to maintain match day friendships New season tickets and 50% reserved for juniors yet it wasn’t long ago that people were saying they probably wouldn’t offer additional ST They have listened to support groups but ultimately they can’t please everyone all of the time
Now can we get back on thread and use it for construction discussion
Everyone knows where the “singers” are and even the south stand can make noise if everyone does their bit. I can always hear away fans singing in unison from where I sit in the north standWhen I used to go regularly to Maine Road during the dark years, even though I lived and worked in East Yorkshire, I used to get into Maine Road on the day and never bothered where I stood or sat. I don’t get this passion for a particular seat, but I guess we are all different, which is probably why there is a forum
One of the issues they found with the original stadium was the lack of corporate hospitality and there was a difficulty in converting the infrastructure This is one of the reasons that your suggestion of the second tier on E, W & South although is a good doesn’t work There was also lots of discontent when fans were moved to accommodate the GA+ and corporate was extended Ultimately they can’t winI take all these points but I don’t quite see it the same way. Surely we have a whole ready made area perfect for all kinds of corporate or semi corporate experiences: the second tier.
The new stand should be seen as part of making the whole match day experience better for all fans including corporates. A better atmosphere sells more corporate tickets. There’s nothing that the north stand can offer a corporate area that can’t be easily incorporated into other areas of the stadium and arguably better. Behind the goal is not the best view.
Ahh, now I see where I went wrong :(
We’ve built a huge space, so the additional facilities are in the new improved North Stand, so of course they are going to have to inconvenience some fans.I take all these points but I don’t quite see it the same way. Are you not stating something as a fact that is actually just your supposition there? The safe standing seats can’t sell out as x amount of the safe standing seats are match day seats, so there will always be seats available in the 3000 capacity safe standing section.
If 3000 safe standing Flexi-Gold season tickets were made available in advance by the club and sold out instantly, which they probably would do, the club could then sell a further 1000 Flexi-Gold season tickets, and then expand the safe standing section. But that would mean eating into another 1000 centre seats, which I don’t think the club really want to do, as they will bring in more money than safe standing seats.
That’s why I was always sceptical about the club saying they could increase the safe standing seats to 4000, if the demand was there. You can’t gauge genuine demand if x amount of those tickets are match day tickets sales, especially for the lesser home and midweek games.
Surely it’s up to the fans to make the noise? Not just 1894, who occupy at best a few hundred in SS lower? It does. Which means the safe standing singers are split up, and pushed to the back and sides of the stands, when they should all be together across the tier.
There’s no way City wanted to accommodate 3000 singers across the tier from the back to the upper middle of the tier. The upper middle seats are some of the best seats, and best priced seats. Hence why the safe standing seats have been limited to 14 rows from the back, and pushed out to the less attractive and cheaper side seats. There’s always a financial reason why City do these things, and make these decisions. The (upper) side seats will also be harder to shift on a match day.
City have been charging £9 for the junior tickets vs Liverpool (flexi-golds), arguably our biggest game of the season, so there are encouraging signs. That said, there are no guarantees that bargain tickets like these will continue to be available,If it’s reasonably priced in those areas they’ll have no issues selling the STs. It's probably already been said but there are no corporate seats anywhere in the new NS, not even in the Sky Bar. They're being sold as a VIP experience I think, perhaps even similar to (say) hot air ballooning or a day at the race track. The other seats are similar to Joe's or 93:20 and nothing more.To stand behind way back , behind corporates instead of being behind the goal at SS?

There are no 'corporate' seats anywhere in the ground. The sky bar will be sold the same as all the rest of the hospitality seats. It's probably already been said but there are no corporate seats anywhere in the new NS, not even in the Sky Bar. I think it’s naive to think the club would spend £ms on expanding the stadium without wanting to recoup as much revenue as they can in the process. It's down to opinions. My opinion on the matter is different to yours. You might see that section as an atmospheric home end - I see it as an opportunity for the club to drive revenue.
It's fine that we disagree. There are 3k rail seats there for anyone who wants to go and make a success of it (and I genuinely would love that to happen). The success of the North Stand (in terms of improving the atmosphere) is the club's responsibility, not 1894's.
As long as the fan remembers to buy the ticket in the 3 day sale window. ;-)Flexi-golds allows the fan to attend every Prem home game and have the same seat. By your definition they are season cards.
To be honest the reduction to match day prices this season has been a great thing. Given the rate we’re pushing Bournemouth tickets I’m wondering where all of the singing fans referred to on this thread are? They aren’t buying Bournemouth tickets by the looks of itCity have been charging £9 for the junior tickets vs Liverpool (flexi-golds), arguably our biggest game of the season, so there are encouraging signs. This and only this ^^^ It's doing my fuckin head in. There was a video by @cpoverview that got totally lost in all the bullshit that certain members are posting, it's about time a Mod got involved. Please can all of you talking about who sits where and flexi gold cards go fuck off to the North Stand seating thread here: https://forums.bluemoon-mcfc.co.uk/threads/north-stand-expansion-seating-ticketing-etc.366049/
Thanks
