Slow horses latest series 4 episodes in and it’s no where as good as previous series very disappointing
It's good harmless fun.Anybody watching Celebrity Traitors? It's proven to be a big family hit in my household. The celebrities are very bad at playing the game
Thought I was the only one, thanks :)I watched a few episodes thought it was shit
Yep got into traitors only this year as something to watch with my teenage daughter (she’s given up on Disney) so we’ve binge watched the first 3 seasons and now on the celebrity one, it’s brilliant, they are so out their comfort zones it’s great viewing, I love the fact Alan Carr has gone from a sweating wreck to a ruthless bastard and Jo the rugby player looks like he wants to rip Jonathan Ross a new one.Anybody watching Celebrity Traitors? No chance pal it’s been played straight and it’s great viewing, I hope they do a second season and get Bob Mortimer and Richard Ayoade on it.It's good harmless fun.
My theory is that they were under instructions that the two biggest stars, Fry and Ross, couldn't be voted out until they'd got their money's worth out of them.
Yeah, thought it was just a bit unnecessarily too ‘gritty’ for its own good at times. It could still have been an enjoyable watch without that.Hmmmm.
As a menopausal woman myself I really wanted to like it however I thought it was really cliched and slightly cringey in places
Will it put you off the new Mick Heron adaptation starting on Apple on Wednesday mate, Down Cemetery Road?Agreed.
I've watched 2 eps and it's lazy writing from the off.

I’m gonna give it a go, and re SH I’m really looking forward to the last episode this week, though can see there’s a few of you on here who don’t rate it. What I will say is, it’s not and never has been “realistic” but I think its script and performances are actually quite funny. And with Oldham and Scott-Thomas I can’t think of two actors I’d rather watch at the moment, both (still) at the top of their game.
On another note, was watching the movie The Conversation the other day and was struck by how much the soundtrack reminded me of Severance. The similarities of some of the piano motifs is eerie. Have since found out the Severance team have actually acknowledged the ahem “inspiration”.

I think I must be due a rewatch of that, I know I enjoyed it very much years ago but I can't remember the end. It was the 2nd big series I watched, Boardwalk Empire being the first.Watched the final episode of The Americans last night. It was a very emotional end to what I think has been a brilliant series.
Yes we’ve only watched this series of Traitors. It is indeed brilliant and if you aren’t already watching it, you don’t know what you’re missing! Best thing I’ve watched in years.Yep got into traitors only this year as something to watch with my teenage daughter (she’s given up on Disney) so we’ve binge watched the first 3 seasons and now on the celebrity one, it’s brilliant, they are so out their comfort zones it’s great viewing, I love the fact Alan Carr has gone from a sweating wreck to a ruthless bastard and Jo the rugby player looks like he wants to rip Jonathan Ross a new one.
No. Indeed.Heron doesn’t write the tv scripts though.
No. Indeed.
But I don’t feel that alters either of my points, firstly about my interest in watching the new series starting Wednesday based on one of his other books, nor secondly my enjoyment of the scripts for Slow Horses.

Ah understood, thanksNo I agree, was more making the point as I don’t think it should matter to the poster you were asking the question to about whether he’d watch it :)
I haven’t minded this series of slow horses. I’ve hated some of the acting in some of the previous ones.
