You could reasonably argue that every sponsorship should receive equal consideration.

I'd say a lot also depends on which club is submitting it.

City bias aside, sometimes I have to remind myself that it’s bizarre that the PL are actually discouraging investment in its clubs.

I know the rules and the “reasons” behind them but, if you just take it as face value, there aren’t many industries that limit investment because some deals look too much.

Ten, maybe five, years ago I wouldn’t have believed it.

I dont see any point in anyone buying a club nowadays. So many regulations its like trying to do up a Grade 1 listen building

Had to spend a few hours there, a few years ago. Asked for a salad sandwiche in a local pub.A hush descended on the place ,a bloke from the kitchen was called to see this stranger ,after a short whispered discussion with bar staff ,I was offered lamb, beef or chicken but as a special consideration I could have extra salt.
I declined, but got to say it was a good pint.

Those steep hills on both sides, make it a very depressing place to get to. Although it is a great day out on the lash, as is Hebden Bridge about 4 miles up the road from Todmorden:-)
