Stadium Developments thread - New Birmingham City Stadium revealed (p57)

Disagree. Its different.
I quite like the design, apart from the chimneys, which look bloody awful, I think mainly because there is no obvious purpose to them, OK they are hiding the roof support system, but why do that? It's just bad post modernism and looks tacky. It'll suprise me if it ever gets built though, I wouldn't have thought that Brum have the resources to do it.

Was told by someone who would absolutely know that the shites new stadium will start next season.
They are spending absolutely bare minimum on maintaining old toilet in the mean time
Not even bought the land yet, then the design will still be wip. Will then have to go to planning permission and could face challenges They will have to appoint the contractors having to negotiate contracts. If they persist with the modular design, shipped down the Ship Canal then there will be a lot of work required on bridges and dredging Next year, even towards the end to break ground seems optimistic

Ill r

Ill rephrase; the wheels will be set on motion. They are spending absolute bare minimum on maintenance because they wont be at OT in the near future

Their owners have the resources and the plan is for it to host events other than football including NFL Rugby and concerts with a closed roof it’s part of a greater sports complex as well
