Players who might improve us

They haven't just bought from the Premier league have they?

The most impressive part of the Arsenal side is their defence and central midfield. Rice is the only Premier league recruit from that group of players if you don't include back up defenders.

It's not about going out and buying just prem proven, it's about doing our due diligence and buying the right type of players.

I don't think Bowen is suited to our team either.

I also think we still have to give the new signings time too. Remember, it took Caicedo a year to settle in at Chelsea. It took Calafiori a year to settle in at Arsenal. It also took Szoboszlai a good year to find his best form. It takes time.

I get you but we do need a balance i suppose us sort of dropping out the Rice battle was annoying. I disagree re Bowen, He WOULD have been perfect, Pace, v.good first touch, works his knackers off AND makes great decisions. Too old now of course but as soon as Mahrez was on his way we should have approached Bowen as i believe his contract was up at same time at WH.

That's why i didn't use them Van Dick from Southampton was a good buy as was McAlister from Brighton...a few more as well really ...way too early re Isak, hasn't hardly kicked a ball for 'em yet, only a couple of months in to what a 3 or 4 year contract!
 
We should have bought Grant Xhaka in the summer. Would have been an ideal stop-gap for Rodri whilst he fully recovers. At an age where he recognises his career is coming to an end so would not be going hissy when Rodri returns.

He’s exactly what we need? We lack energy and fight in midfield. He’s an Atlético fan favourite as he is that, energy , fight and work rate.

Our midfield lacks any sort of physical presence. He only wants to leave Atletico as he’s home sick if not Atletico would keep him.

One the best duel winners in La liga last season. Not a fancy name but he’s effective.

Hes not very good on the ball though.

There is a reason Chelsea got rid of him.

He wouldn't be suited to a Pep team at all.
 
Personally think the squad doesn't need any improvements or new signings at all. Definitely don't need anymore wingers for starters with people saying Semenyo - obviously he's class but we've seen the same with Marmoush, Savinho, Grealish etc who won't benefit from having little game time.

In the middle, we've got Nico, Rodri, Reijnders, Silva, Kovacic and Foden and Cherki as more attacking midfielders and definitely have enough depth with youngsters continuously coming through.

We just need to utilise the squad we have to get the highest potential out of each and every player (forward passes, Doku running at the defense, Reijnders playing higher up etc)

Our squad is definitely one of or if not the best in the league and is 100% capable of winning it if they all play like they can do - signing more players is not always the answer, as we've seen with the likes of Liverpool this season.

Won 9% of duals this season and has very little progressive passes...

Definitely not the player we need if we want to start playing attacking football especially with us all moaning about playing backwards and sideways

Right now, we have neither Rodri nor Kova.
 
One player I've always liked when I've seen him is Mateta. He's a fucking handful - big, quick and can finish. He will be another one of that Palace team off to a bigger club soon.

I'd have him at City - him and Haaland would be some battering ram!
