Russian invasion of Ukraine

I do fear that at some point Trump and Putin will just collaborate to somehow 'off' Zelensky. He has the biggest target on his back of any President in the World with those two cunts at the helm unfortunately.
They've tried.

Arguing he's not legitimate as there's not been a election for X amount of years.

Then it was alleged corruption by his best mate in power.

Could well be falling out of a 13th floor window next.

Wouldn't surprise me if they've identified a **** to replace him with that will suck off both Trump and Putin in return for some cash from their shady mineral deals.

Stuff 30/12:

A Russian numbers radio station suddenly started broadcasting Swan Lake. Normally a sign of extreme crisis or a major military event in Russia, last broadcast in 2010 during the Chetchen theatre attack in Moscow and prior to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Day 1411 Review:

Oh dear poor old Trump - he fell for Putin's lie. There is not one shred of local evidence to support Putin's assertion that Trump believed.
- Air defence in the area wasn't active.
- No drone attack alerts in the area by text.
- No distinctive drone noise reported by locals.
- No explosions or falling debris reported.

Was reading the other day our Challenger 2s are out performing the America Abrams for gun accuracy and crew survivability , if only successive short signed UK governments hadn't let our manufacturing capabilities go could have been a game changer in sufficient numbers. :-(

Stuff 31/12:

Large parts of Moscow in darkness after a Ukraine drone swarm attack on power, water and large scale heating infrastructure.

To quote one of the Cossacks:
'It's a Rolls Royce of tanks"

There's an awful lot on the ruSSian economy with the prediction that it is this year that will see it collapse

People have been talking about it for a couple of years, but the most realistic views were that it would take three years for the war to have full effect
Price of oil will play a huge part I expect.

It's down nearly 25% from this time last year probably due to the Chinese and Indians buying up cheap Russian oil, I suspect a continued fall in the price into the coming year.
I’ve read the same mate. Given they are already wholesaling at a discount, a further drop will absolutely fuck them, especially given how dependent they are on that revenue stream.

Yep seems like Russian oils now selling around half the price of Brent crude, getting on towards less than cost price suppose it's just a case of getting dollars in to help finance the war. Hopefully their economy will fully tank in next 12 months.

Chief Budanov is a fucking beast!

Ukraine’s Military Intelligence
@DI_Ukraine
reveals foiled Russian assassination attempt to kill RDK commander Denis KapustinRussian intelligence services reportedly ordered the assassination of Denis Kapustin, the commander of the Russian Volunteer Corps (RDK), a group of Russian fighters fighting against the Kremlin on Ukraine’s side. Around $500,000 was allegedly allocated for the operation. However, Ukraine’s military intelligence (GUR) uncovered the plan and ran a month-long counter-intelligence operation that:•Saved Kapustin’s life•Identified the Russian organizers and executors•Intercepted the money meant for the assassination•Redirected those funds to support Ukrainian intelligence unitsThe Main Directorate of Intelligence of Ukraine, uncovered the plan and conducted a counter-intelligence operation that lasted over a month. As a result, Kapustin’s life was saved, the people involved in organizing the assassination inside Russian special services were identified, and the money intended for the killing was seized and redirected to support Ukrainian intelligence units.Kapustin is alive, currently in Ukraine, and preparing to continue carrying out combat and special missions as commander of the RDK.

From what I’ve read, full collapse of the Russian economy is highly unlikely, but I don’t think that is necessary or even desirable given what it could lead to.
