PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

I’ve always thought that the verdict would be more likely to be delivered in the off season. It makes it less messy if a punishment is to be dished out.

Not that I’m suggesting that punishment is due, as we’ve got no information to suggest what the verdict may or may not be.

Which is what I said so again what’s your point
I did not get that impression when I read your original post - hence my post. And my misinterpretation clearly illustrates my point that you cannot get the full picture from one piece of paper.
Hopefully that clarifies my point.

I'd have thought that if the Premier League had us bang to rights because we've definitely "cheated" as numerous people (media rags mainly) claim, it would have been a fairly quick, open & shut case?

Sadly for the Premier League, that doesn't appear to be the case.
Looks like someone's done a bad face swap between Rodri & Kun
Could be singin to Masters " This town aint big enough for the both of us "!

Dylan was definitely my favourite. Something about him spoke to me, man.

Erwin Schrödinger would enjoy reading the last few pages….

Schroedinger's Borson. If he isn't on-line, how do we know he is still being told the parties haven't received the judgment or whether they have now received the judgment and he isn't telling us for professional reasons?

Personally, I prefer applying the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle to the Borson quantum persona. It being impossible to simultaneously measure both his on-line status and his view on the reception of the judgment, so then the more precisely you determine his on-line status, the less precisely you can know the likelihood of judgment reception.

OK. That's enough satire for me today ....

That’s enough of that.

You are not allowed to use such a succinct word unless you log off right now! not imminently which seems to mean you will piss off but that could be in 1 day or 1 year.

All joking aside, people get very tetchy in here. I don’t think anyone knows and if anyone did know it’s probably khaldoon.
Khaldoon doesn't know

Whilst close season definitely made sense, because this is just liability, it wouldn't deal with the punishment issue. Because it is now clear that arranging, hearing, deliberating the sanction part could take months on its own.

Could they have not just gone on to that stage already, without telling anyone. So when it is announced. It's done?

Not sure if you think I implied this, but whatever the case, I don't think City can be blamed the for the delay, if thats what it is. But I can imagine we'd prefer not to have to deal with an announcement while we're still competing for trophies.
No but you ignored it. There's no good time for a bad result from City's point of view but happily we are in the clear. Pleased you don't think so but why it has being argued we are somehow responsible for the delay in its publication escapes me and I still await enlightenment.

Hasn’t Stefan and other experts said these things can take 2-3 years? With City’s being so vast and complex, maybe we’re still actually early?

When the news first broke of the charges, everyone said this will take 3-4 years to come to a conclusion. All articles and news outlets said this will take years. Many would have expected appeals within that, but still, it was never going to be quick.

I think having the hearing conclude over a year ago is what maybe saw that expectation pivot, as it then seemed more about 'releasing the result'.

The issue on timing is that this is only the first staging post of decisions. 1 year between hearing and liability only decision is a lot.

I take your word for it of course.

But as I have no knowledge of such timelines, it's not to me. My only expectation really comes from what is collectively deduced on here, and even that I temper.

Would love it to be sooner, but I'll wait on.

One thing I do think it impacts is Pep's future, because I personally feel like he has decided he's sticking around till this drops and won't leave before that. Just my own personal take.

The mass of evidence was framed during the 10 week hearing and parameters set for the panel to reach its verdict. It will not have returned for more after the hearing concluded and will proceed on the basis they agreed a year ago. That is why the delay is absurd.

In all seriousness though, surely if we're found not liable then there'll be no appeal from the league? Wouldn't that be the best outcome for both parties sure
