I’ve always thought that the verdict would be more likely to be delivered in the off season. It makes it less messy if a punishment is to be dished out.

Schroedinger's Borson. If he isn't on-line, how do we know he is still being told the parties haven't received the judgment or whether they have now received the judgment and he isn't telling us for professional reasons?

Personally, I prefer applying the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle to the Borson quantum persona. It being impossible to simultaneously measure both his on-line status and his view on the reception of the judgment, so then the more precisely you determine his on-line status, the less precisely you can know the likelihood of judgment reception.

Whilst close season definitely made sense, because this is just liability, it wouldn't deal with the punishment issue. Because it is now clear that arranging, hearing, deliberating the sanction part could take months on its own.

Not sure if you think I implied this, but whatever the case, I don't think City can be blamed the for the delay, if thats what it is. But I can imagine we'd prefer not to have to deal with an announcement while we're still competing for trophies.

No but you ignored it. There's no good time for a bad result from City's point of view but happily we are in the clear. Pleased you don't think so but why it has being argued we are somehow responsible for the delay in its publication escapes me and I still await enlightenment.

When the news first broke of the charges, everyone said this will take 3-4 years to come to a conclusion. All articles and news outlets said this will take years. Many would have expected appeals within that, but still, it was never going to be quick.

I think having the hearing conclude over a year ago is what maybe saw that expectation pivot, as it then seemed more about 'releasing the result'.

In theory, they may only release a full set of decisions right at the end. But I know for certain that as of earlier this week, there was no decision on any part. And we've seen Pannick reply here to the same effect.

But as I have no knowledge of such timelines, it's not to me. My only expectation really comes from what is collectively deduced on here, and even that I temper.

Would love it to be sooner, but I'll wait on.

One thing I do think it impacts is Pep's future, because I personally feel like he has decided he's sticking around till this drops and won't leave before that. Just my own personal take.

The mass of evidence was framed during the 10 week hearing and parameters set for the panel to reach its verdict. It will not have returned for more after the hearing concluded and will proceed on the basis they agreed a year ago. That is why the delay is absurd.

Well they were blamed for making the PL allege the about 115 offences so it's not the PLs fault that City insist on legally defending them instead of just agreeing another fine.
