PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

It’s probably the case that no country in the Middle East can afford to remain outside the “Board of Peace,” as doing so would risk losing influence over the peace plans for Gaza and the broader Middle East. It’s a bit like the Super League situation.

As for Khaldoon, he is not personally a member of the Board of Peace; he was merely standing in for the UAE Minister of State for International Cooperation, HE Reem Al-Hashimy, who was not in Davos. She is a member of the Gaza Executive Board.
War washing

If I was City, and the PL came to me in these circumstances and said, yes we know we all signed up to this procedure but we want to tell the panel to have it all settled by the summer, is that OK? I would have told them to fuck off and, when they get there, to fuck off again and, if they did try it, we would take them to arbitration and the high court if necessary and lose another two years. I don't get the impression that the club are in much mood for compromise on this whole thing unless its on favourable terms.

Who knows? Maybe the PL tried to impose timing on the panel and that is exactly what the club said, and did .... (yes, I know I shouldn't have ....)
Exactly right.
We insisted on UK Law being enforced so unless we strictly conform to that procedure we may damage our own case.
I know it is slow and pedantic (l admit to joking about it's ancient procedures) but at least it stands a chance of being independent.

I'm probably misunderstanding what you're saying here, so apologies in advance, but wouldn't they need to tell us their decision before we move to the sanctions stage? Everyone seems to be adamant that they haven't heard anything yet though, so how could they have moved to the next stage?
Yes the parties get the liability decision with reasons. The parties can't do the sanction bit without the liability decision and reasons. They haven't moved to the next stage

Why would the club want delays unless they actually did something wrong

They refer the club to a disciplinary process for allegedly breaching their rules and then expect the club to agree to amending the rules to suit their crazy allegations. I wouldn't care how long it takes and "how it looks for the game" - they should have thought about that before they made the allegations.

I remember some idiot club CEOs being quoted as saying they were surprised at how aggressively the club was defending itself. I had no idea what that meant at the time.

Dylan was definitely my favourite. Something about him spoke to me, man.
My fav as well…..anyone who likes a good kip and is partial to a bit of exotic tobacco will do for me…

Absolutely GUTTED when I found out about his fall from grace:(

In all seriousness though, surely if we're found not liable then there'll be no appeal from the league? Wouldn't that be the best outcome for both parties sure
I guess it depends. If the findings were for us and anything like other judgements, including words such as 'unlawful' 'unfair' etc.etc., then an appeal by the PL would only mark them out as being sensationally disingenuous and unaware.

The nuances of which sensibilities I'm sure, would once again bounce right off their thick-skinned, dull-headed egos, so don't discount it..

More recently David has chaired a FA Regulatory Commission investigating regulatory breaches. The proceedings, and particularly the identity of the individuals and club, are confidential: no details that might enable them to be identified can be given.
He scored some belters for us in the mid-80's

Hopefully every other country than the US or Russia.

Not exactly sure what Khaldoon's role in the latest bullshit organisation headed by Trump, but it is bound to be financially loaded, and thus it must be worth it for the Arab states to get themselves a piece?
You've replied, hopefully, not exactly sure, but it's bound to be, thus it must be worth it.
I'd give it a while and see what develops.

That any of us would know of.

For clarity, I am not suggesting they have, im fact I argued the opposite when it was mooted. But I don’t see anything that would logically rule that out, and you yourself acknowledge it is theoretically possible.

Tbf, I only mention it in the context of a other chain of discussion. I am firmly in the 'no news just means there is no news'.

The panel hearing the "115" charges is not an FA disciplinary commission, it is an independent commission established by the Premier League.

It might be him, but this entry on his chambers website does not refer to City's case.

Could be Chelsea...

I KNOW they haven't

I KNOW they haven't

KNOW Know?

Or know like someone 'knew' the club got the verdict in February and then decided to sit on it to help the PL get their side of it sorted, for what is coming up to a whole year now?

I believe you btw.

Know for sure as of earlier this week. It is simply that the decision is not yet out - nothing more.

Stefan worked as a client of City for years, he’s in the media now, he’ll have contacts there who will give him the heads up when they’ve had it or not had it.

Especially considering he’s one of the few in the media who actually knows what they’re on about and isn’t going to lie about the club.
