PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

but that was the easiest of all cases where Chelsea have already admitted guilt. Usually it's a split payment for all parties and it will be for City's case no doubt. I read that the £10m fine should have been £20m if it wasn't for the self reporting
It’s actually not as simple as admitting guilt because in a sort of roundabout way that’s not what we did.

What BlueCo did was effectively self report but without being able to interview everyone including RA then it isn’t quite as straightforward.

It’s worth reading the sanctions agreement because whoever scripted it went out of their way to big up the efforts made by the new owners to facilitate matters even to the point where they say the club , to its detriment went out of its way to suggest what had happened when a matter wasn’t proven on the paperwork alone.

Personally I think the new owners have played a blinder and if the FA case is concluded on a similar basis then we will have got off very lightly

So Chelsea were charged with 77 offences, admitted their guilt on 31 of these, and their punishmnent is a £10m fine?

Why aren't the cry babies up in arms over this. I've not heard one person complain about Chelsea's financial charges, call them cheats, or demand that they're deducted points or stripped trophies.
Because they haven't been successful domestically for nearly a decade. Just shows that our haters aren't bothered what we've (allegedly) done... they (and the media) are bothered that we've been hoovering up trophies they think they should be winning. It all comes down to petty bitterness and jealousy

Does seem a very lenient "punishment" for Chelsea, but I think this could work in our favour if we were to be found guilty of any charges, in terms of the precedent.
It is lenient but had these payments been identified following a PL self generated investigation then the punishment would have been far more severe
I wouldn’t be taking our punishment as anything close to a precedent in yours ( if proven) or any other case where the aggravating factors way outweigh any mitigation

Cheats. So we can pay players and their agents off the books to secure the signings of players we otherwise wouldn't be able to sign, and we would only get a £10m fine? No sporting advantage from doing this, according to the PL investigation. Why isn't everyone at it?

To be fair there was no sporting advantage gained from signing Hazard, Willian or Eto'o ect, except for the odd 2 PL titles, 1 FA cup, 1 League cup & 2 Europa cups. Other than that, nothing to see here.

I wonder how many if their team that played in that CL final were signed with these backhanders and for how much?

Anyone know if there's a list of the illegal payments anywhere?
I did find this relating to the FA's investigation, Hazard, Willian & Eto'o all mentioned as likely suspects:-

Surely this is a precedent and if we are treated more harshly for similar offences if guilty, we get it in a proper court ?

There's this from the Athletic: "The agreement outlines that between 2011 and 2018, Chelsea paid more than £23m to seven unregistered agents “or entities associated with them” in connection with the transfer and registration of seven players: Eden Hazard, Ramires, David Luiz, Andre Schurrle, Nemanja Matic, Willian and Samuel Eto’o. A total of £47,524,925.74 was paid to 12 individuals or corporate entities, “each of which implicated one or more of the rules” during that time."

Only issue with that is the sanction hearing takes place after liability.

If the club is found guilty, there would be a period of chaos when everyone knows we’re guilty and will be demanding / speculating what the sanction will be.

Even if the punishment turns out eventually to only be a fine and suspended transfer ban, the damage will be done and severe.

Carnt work out the difference in terms of amounts allegedly fiddled vs proven not sure of the time period involved. However it’s surely worse to affectively bribe a player to come to you vs allegedly fiddle your books to allow you possibly to pay more to players to possible come to you but to have those amounts declared it’s a much closer link money to player = trophies vs sponsors money club some maybe to player = trophies

The sporting advantage is greater with Chelsea vs what city are alleged. Yet no sporting sanction yet we are apparently getting relegated.

I think this shows nothing is happening to us and If anything does all hell will break loose on ourside

So US owned clubs are the good guys for the PL/FA hierarchy, despite being paid-up members of a fucking cartel designed to arrange everything favourably for the members of the elect clan ?

And as the US are clearly demonstrating their "expertise" in deciding the best options for other nations of the world, giving them licence to control English football is not worth even a second glance !

Yet the corrupt members of both of our football hierarchies who also control PiGMOL , are only too happy to jump to into bed with the self-serving and greedy US "allies" !

clear and obvious ?
