Just got round to watching it back. Sorry, but that second half is purely and simply energy conservation football. That is what they're doing, especially in midfield. They didn't play badly, they didn't play well. They played to save energy, full stop. They must have been pretty shattered after Sunday and they thought, “Fuck this, we're giving ourselves a bit of a rest”. The only two who had a bit of sweat on their brow were Erling, who did make quite a few runs, and Bernie, of course, because when have we seen Bernie not run in a match?
