How many floors in your house if you can see the sea from Croydon?
Reminds me of the English family from Birmingham who migrated to Alice Springs in Australia's Northern Territory. When they looked at the map before leaving the UK they noticed it was equi-distant from the sea in all directions. To their shock when they got there, they discovered at least a two-day journey one way just to reach a coastline.
One time we got there and we’re sat on the sea front in a pub eating some nosh when I suddenly screamed I can see the sea. I must have looked like a proper melon. We’d all got so distracted by meeting our friends that we had forgotten. We must have been sat there an hour before anyone realised.

That’s the Lytham windmill, I always thought it was the one at Little Marton that counted!


Really? I genuinely didn't know there was another. When I googled Blackpool windmill that was the first picture that came up
