Are you saying he was an undercover agent for 'Remain GB ?'

:- )

To me it shows its not a serious political party. The whole reason they exist is to simply become independent. If that had happened in the referendum they would be fucked.
They couldn’t have done as much damage as he has done. Let’s see what happens when Farage becomes PM. That will make it interesting up here.

SNP in its current guise is dead. They are untrustworthy and incompetent. Something else will emerge.

If Farage gets in I'm moving up your way.
(East side, I can't understand that lot on the west)

If Farage becomes PM I’m declaring the Bridge of Dee Independent I fucking know that!

I think folk are missing the wider relevance of this crime. The SNP can only succeed in convincing the Scottish electorate that independence can be delivered if they can prove to the Scottish electorate that they are a party that are fiscally competent. The polls may show support for independence at 50/50 but when push comes to shove, folk want to know the plan for currency, central bank, transition, economic growth etc etc.

What this man has done is prove that the SNP are not even fit to look after their own bank account and arguments that 'it was a one man betrayal' are frankly laughable. There are £ms of pounds passing through that account and he was able to charge literally 1000's of item on a charge card to amazon without any challenge. Yes he manufactured false invoices but the SNP had a treasurer, a finance committee and a set of external auditors for the whole period he was embezzling and not one raised a finger. A simple look at the transactions running through the bank account should have triggered an internal investigation in 2010 ( the first year of embezzling). For me this almost negates the result of the recent Scottish election. I honestly believe that if this had come out a couple of months ago the make up of Holyrood would look very different and frankly any talk of Scottish independence is dead in the water for years and years.
Think you’re overstating things most people I meet have a laugh over make a few jokes about camper vans and haidryers, those that didn’t support independence or the SNP before still don’t those that do haven’t changed their opinion as far as I can see. Though not the extent of it most knew what had gone on before the election. Sometimes those that take their politics seriously forget most between elections don’t that much.

Let’s see the next couple of bi elections.

She did well during Covid, but has turned out to be an absolute **** in all respects.

Why aren’t Scotland independent already?
Because they would have to start paying their way instead of accepting huge handouts from Westminster. How would all the druggies pay for their prescriptions?

Why aren’t Scotland independent already?
Because the SNP are that far away from reality they've not realised that if the whole of the UK had a vote they'd be out like a shot.

Being serious I think it's one of those things that they push for but, don't actually want as financially it'd be a disaster for Scotland and the people.

Thanks for the recent replies. So, that begs the question, what are they actually there for if they’re not going to get independence?

Their own people spent the campaign funds, so even they know it won’t happen.

Definitely think he has medical/mental issues to carry on like he did……
He’s got an addiction I think, as I’ve said earlier, I wouldn’t say it’s a formal medical/mental diagnosis but I’ve known of three individuals who have all shamelessly stolen off people they know, for quite significant sums of money, and two had gambling addictions they were funding, with one just being addicted to the thieving itself.

He’s blatantly not quit whilst he was ahead and has continued to unbelievable levels. Despite the fact I don’t agree with them, the SNP is a greater entity than this **** and his Mrs who may or may not be complicit and/or an actual victim. They just need to respond properly and call for a proper review, they need to if they want to survive.

I agree with you but it will take some time to cleanse the party of this legacy. Swinney is too mixed up in it and I don’t see where the new talent is going to come from. Trouble with politics is it’s run by politicians who have done diddly squat in real life so asking them to form a credible government that actually delivers stuff is a big stretch. The Scottish government is no different to Westminster in that respect.
