PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Imagine the meltdown on here if Masters had said something so positive on the case from the Prems perspective.

Big Khal is nobody's fool and has worded that sentence to mean what it says in my opinion.
Yep, he never wastes words or makes throwaway comments. Ultimate 'soft signal' me thinks.

But not completely impossible, evident by that biased media reporting and public opinion has impacted verdicts multiple times throughout history.
I admire your trust in that these 3 panel members are all infallible individuals incapable of being affected by their surroundings, I just simply do not share that unlimited trust.

But I hope you are correct!
That’s fine.

They aren’t infallible, but they really aren’t going to be swayed by shite in the media.

"Once we have a ruling, believe me, Chris, we're going to have a wonderful sit down together and I'll say everything I wanted to say for the last three years."

If we'd lost Khaldoon wouldn't have used the word 'wonderful' to describe his forthcoming account of the perfidious PL.

It's in the bag boys and girls fret no more :-)

Just my opinion but I am not sure the club will seek any recompense or will be interested in going after any of the numerous hacks, social media streamers, radio stations, tv.stations that have constantly smeared our name.
Just think its not our style and is a case of keeping your freinds close but your enemies closer.
I may be totally wrong
You aren’t, mate.

Fucking mental how people act because we've broke every record. Now we're talking who's better pep or Fergie, how can it be a debate the fucking records are there in front of people, denial at its finest. Peps the best manager and citys the greatest premier League team, won the quintuple english treble the Phil and Gary Neville treble and 4 in a row and it's still an argument. Fucking mental
It's a comfort blanket

100% What he will do is use it in negotiations to get stuff put through that we need in the future, we'll never know about it which will cause some on here to froth at the mouth but that's how he operates. The fact that Chris mentioned that it's the fourth time he's had to raise it will make the revenge all the sweeter.

It depends. Let's say, for example, that the potential transfer of Bellingham (or Rice) collapsed because his advisors were concerned about the 115 charges, and they stated that formally in writing.
Let's also say that a potential partner or sponsor did the same and backed out of a deal because of the 115 charges, and they were willing to state that in a tribunal.
In that scenario, it would come down entirely to legal advice. If the potential upside outweighed any downsides, and there was serious money involved, then why not?
We could even use the threat to finally get rid of Masters, who could maybe get a job managing the dips megastore...

I prefer to trust Nostradamus:

"In the place where the professional experts fail,
The Great Blue Sky will open its bounty:
The fault that was hidden will be cleared,
And the kingdom will stand firmer than before."

Written about 115 years ago, I believe.

If you think City are guilty of deceit, you might regard Khaldoon's comments as a further deception. If you believe that City are innocent, and the independent Court of Arbitration for Sport did, you will take this as a statement of confidence from the Chairman of City in the likely ruling. A reasonable observer will note that City have been able to convince commercial partners and leading footballers to commit to City.

Despite what Stefan states, imo there is no way they haven’t been steered a certain way or been told a positive outcome in our favour. Granted, the official announcement hasn’t been made but that to me yesterday confirmed he knows it’s victory on the substantive charges and maybe all of them

Not quite.

Lots of people have said that the charges would be difficult to sustain, especially the most serious ones, but with the caveat that we don’t know what evidence the PL are relying on.

Khaldoon DOES know what evidence they are relying on, and he has access to some of the best legal brains in the country. They will have reported in great detail on how the trial went. So our chairman is in an infinitely better position to be confident about the outcome than almost anyone else.

But until the decision is announced, that’s all it can be.
