I saw what you did there.Hear hear !!!
I'm going to have to correct you there.
Damn I didn’t read back enough pages. This thread.....
Man: Good morning, I’d like to have an argument, please.
Receptionist: Certainly, sir. Have you been here before?
Man: No, this is my first time.
Receptionist: I see, well we’ll see who’s free at the moment. Mr. Bakely’s free, but he’s a little bit concilliatory. No. Try Mr. Barnhart, room 12.
Man: Thank you.
He enters room 12.
Angry man: WHADDAYOU WANT?
Man: Well, Well, I was told outside that…
Angry man: DON’T GIVE ME THAT, YOU SNOTTY-FACED HEAP OF PARROT DROPPINGS!
Man: What?
A: SHUT YOUR FESTERING GOB, YOU TIT! YOUR TYPE MAKES ME PUKE! YOU VACUOUS STUFFY-NOSED MALODOROUS PERVERT!!!
M: Yes, but I came here for an argument!!
A: OH! Oh! I’m sorry! This is abuse!
M: Oh! Oh I see!
A: Aha! No, you want room 12A, next door.
M: Oh…Sorry…
A: Not at all!
A: (under his breath) stupid git.
The man goes into room 12A. Another man is sitting behind a desk.
Man: Is this the right room for an argument?
Other Man: (pause) I’ve told you once.
Man: No you haven’t!
Other Man: Yes I have.
M: When?
O: Just now.
M: No you didn’t!
O: Yes I did!
M: You didn’t!
O: I did!
M: You didn’t!
O: I’m telling you, I did!
M: You didn’t!
O: (breaking into the developing argument) Oh I’m sorry, is this a five minute argument, or the full half hour?
M: Ah! (taking out his wallet and paying) Just the five minutes.
O: Just the five minutes. Thank you. Anyway, I did.
M: You most certainly did not!
O: Now let’s get one thing perfectly clear: I most definitely told you!
M: Oh no you didn’t!
O: Oh yes I did!
The tossers in the press have been the main instigators in tarnishing our name. They keep it going at every opportunity. If they don't call us outright cheats they make sure that the terminology used at least implies it. When we get a positive decision I want our club to give a statement that ANYONE who infers we cheated WILL be dragged through the courts. This is spot on! These bell ends have been programmed for the last 3 years and more that we’re guilty. The job the media have done on us is off the scale! Whatever tv or radio show you put on is all tainted trophies relegation points deductions titles stripped. I don’t think the world is ready for the amount of people whose heads are going to fall off! It really is going to be something to behold! I just wish the day of the judgement was a set date so I could book it off work. Just sit back and drink it all in. The pain and disbelief is going to be like nothing we’ve ever seen!
Thanks, but you could have stopped at 1I genuinely think the situation is either of these four things and I no longer consider anything else:
1 - Khaldoon obviously knows City haven’t done it and he knows our legal team performed to the ability needed to prove that at the hearing. The result isn’t known but as City haven’t done it and our legal team have told him they’ve battered the Premier League in the hearing, he’s almost 100% confident, as close as can be without the result, and that’s why we’re full steam ahead and he’s bullish.
2 - All of the above had happened but there’s also been a nod from the panel to both parties which way it’s gone and that City are aware they’ve won big. The panel are just doing the write up but have been pulled into other things hence the delay.
3 - The full verdict was given to both parties already. It was so comprehensively favourable to City that MCFC now have the chance to do severe damage to not only the Premier League but other clubs who pushed this and manipulated the PL (we know which ones). The Premier League are negotiating with City to try and mitigate the damage MCFC now have at their disposal. City are initially cooperating to see what they can be offered, likely compensation, rule rewriting, protections from this crap happening again, additional powers within English football, certain executives from other clubs gone etc.
4 - Least likely but throwing this in there as it might explain the delay. City have won big on all the charges and the Premier League have appealed, the appeal is being done without the initial result being published. It has to be this way rather the other way around (City appealing a loss) because of how confident Khaldoon is and how the usual suspects haven’t leaked it in the press. Same situation as number 1 but only we’re now at appeal stage, City know they’ve not done it and know the PL have nothing. I don’t think this is the case as it’s outside of process and Pannick and co. were pictured coming in and out of the hearing in late 2024, I don’t think it gets past the press and I think even City leak if this was the case.
I’ve told you onceHello, Is the right thread for an argument?
Where do you stand on putting ‘battered’ onto an attendance note? Thanks, but you could have stopped at 1
What about the Carbolic Smoke Ball Company? Was quoting what was posted a few weeks ago. I’ve not the knowledge on the law you have but I did the subject at OND level about 50 years ago, I do remember Donoghue v Stevenson, Snail in the Ginger Beer bottle but precious little else so I stand corrected.
You really need to weave David Sullivan and Karen Brady into this fan fiction.
Yes I know for sure re Levy. As for Lewis, it would be totally ridiculous for him to be booted out of Arsenal (with the offer of a NED position) for being too aggressive towards Arsenal's nemesis months before a decision even if was totally unjustified. It is just a totally illogical explanation.Do you know for sure that the departures of Levy & Lewis were unrelated to our case?
You've also been claiming the result is "imminent" since June last year. You posted this on June 17th...
The case against City is dead.Hello, Is the right thread for an argument?
It might be my age but I'm finding it tiring. Is anyone else finding this arousing?
As in a decision that takes too long could be deemed unsafe. I think. When you say 'unsafe territory', do you mean you're concerned City are guilty or that something dodgy might be going on?
Definitely your age, mate.It might be my age but I'm finding it tiring.
Well its better than those bastard Viagra tablets. Is anyone else finding this arousing?
Don’t think he’s trying to be a smart arse there, mate.Your attempt at being a smart arse, has actually made you look very very thick.
100% agree. I’m finding it tiring and tedious - frankly no one knows anything! Let’s wait for the outcome - whenever that might be.It might be my age but I'm finding it tiring.
Correct. 19 months is just ridiculous and may have consequences (albeit a difficult case to make out on appeal) https://substack.com/home/post/p-198815901As in a decision that takes too long could be deemed unsafe. I think.
