What was the last vinyl record you bought?

I've yet to try half speed but i have a 1996 Technics Mash CD player, the sound is incredible, vinyl doesn't get anywhere near...
Good vinly on a quality TT and a good amp/speaker setup over CD for me.

I don't dispute that CD output often measures better, but there are some pretty poor analogue output through the RCA's at the cheaper end of the CD player market. From memory the headphone output on those Technics players was often much better.

Also, there are some genuinely shockingly bad CD's out there that are mastered way too hot and massively compressed. Do a search for 'loudness wars'.

Technique New Order. My Daughter is now into them so I get dragged into HMV and record fairs with her. Price of them new is mental. Great to see the revival though and great to stand there thumbing my way though them. Muscle memory.

Car boot £2 each
Did well there Dave.
A few weeks back, I was driving back from Delamere when I noticed a car boot at Blakemere. Pulled over and had a mooch. Now the 3 albums I got are not necessarily my go to bands, but a 10er for them was good value.
The Quo - 12 Gold bars
Roxy music - flesh + blood
Mud - Greatest hits.
All originals. The guy I bought them off was a blue. Think you got the best deal though. Is that Sergeant Pepper an original?
