Season Card Reservations/Relocations Direct Debit update 11/6

just a bit of info where we are waiting list wise
my lad got his letter yesterday saying what number he is on the list - 9750
he only joined two weeks or so ago so not at 10,000 unless 250 have joined subsequently

I have bought 3 in 93:20 - 207. Anyone used to sitting there able to comment on quality of the view please?

I keep seeing comments that st sales are slow. How can anyone possibly discern that unless they work for the club? As far as I understand we're still working through the waiting list.

If its based on the number of seats available then that's a very misleading guide as there are 50,000 plus seats in the stands and even if we get to 43 or 44k season ticket holders (where I think City will stop further sales) it will still appear that there are many seats left.

Could it be they had started working through the list when he went on and some had gone, just a thought, because like you I thought people had said it was just over 10000 a couple of weeks ago.

Could be. More likely a ball park figure that people latch on to.

If the North Stand gets the go-ahead, the waiting list will be very confusing. We'll be a no 10,000 and so, but the numbers will no longer reflect the number of people waiting.

If extra season card sales are slow then this is a result of the Club's policy fairness over rushing out headlines about record ticket sales. The 500 people a day offered tickets from the waiting list and existing card holders given priority on relocation is evidence of this.

We will be able to announce record season card sales and income by the time the transfer window opens at the end of the month.

As DD has said, the Club is being astute in maximising sales. They may have chosen to sell more season cards than first planned because the cheaper ones got sold first and current sales are generating more income e.g. From mid range tickets - up to £750.

I had a phone call and an email(email on P222) from some fella called Dominic regarding Premium seats.
Rang him back on Friday to buy 2 in block 210.Some other fella spoke to me to take my details and he would get "Dom" to ring me back on Monday.
Said he'd spent most of the week showing groups of fans round the available seating,I asked him how they were selling and his words were "we've been a lot busier than we anticipated"......yes,could of been a blag to push me into buying, but I'd already told the lad i was ringing to buy.

I was 8392 on the waiting list.

If the waiting list got up to say 9,800 and we have a couple of hundred newbies on Premia that didn't go on the WL then the 10,000 figure could be very close to the mark.

I am talking 10k new demand rather than WL!

When I confirmed my seats in 209 the City at Home people had some Blues to show round the lounges and Premia so the advice you received could well be good.

I've no evidence of this, but i should imagine some on the list may have passed this year when the £299-£380 tickets were already sold
Have to say i am surprised how many seem to be buying in the Premium Seating

I'd say the list has well broke 10k(guessing),I can't remember when it was exactly, but it was at least 4 month ago I went on the list, and as I posted above I was 8392.

IMHO, people in say 207 and 210 (and Colin Bell equivalents) are paying in line with prices the Club forewarned. £1,150 plus Premia include 3 cup games and a programme etc - so I think a decent number of Blues stars in these area or moved Joe's £1,600 to £1,750. About half of the extra Premia seats are being taken by people wishing to be guaranteed a good seat and / or be sat near friends and family.

I think filling Premia will be tougher when we expand the North side and hopefully this is where some great signings would help out!

i don't know, different people react in different ways
we are a group of five but sit 2 in one block and 3 in the next door block
i tried to get them altogether and the next day had a phone call offering me premium seating and all together
I was tempted, especially as now paying monthly, but reckoned the extra £350 on my seat wasn't worth it
I wouldn't read the programme, travel by bus/tram so i can drink
so i'd get
  • a free drink
  • three cup games
  • a padded seat
£350 pays for approximately 100 pints, or five per game!
I can see why some have bought into it, but I'm just a little too careful with my money

I agree with what you say. I advised friends to stay in 204 who have an excellent view - without paying Premia prices - at least for a couple more seasons.

You must be younger than I imagined otherwise you'd appreciate the padded seat more...

my arse is big enough, cheers
I used to sit in 206 &, at £1750 (last season £800), the only thing I'll miss is the padded seat. Good luck to all those who have bought the Premium Seats. I hope they (City) don't p&$$ you off like they did with everyone who used to sit there. Over six months without anywhere to sit, walls built, all around us, food & bar bars closed, no TV's....all this & we had the dearest seats in the house! Then they wonder why we moved/cancelled.

As I said....Good Luck, to all this who have signed up for the Premium Seats. I hope they're all they're cracked up to be.

TBH I don't normally get caught up in stuff like this, but come on!

My post was a personal overview of what I've read on this thread over the last few weeks and months, and nothing more. That doesn't mean it was right. I'm more than happy to admit when I'm wrong, if I am?

For those calling me depressed, miserable, etc, let's look at my post again.

So from the sounds of things, right or wrong, quite a few haven't renewed from last season, all of the affordable seats in level 3 have all gone, plenty of new fans using the 10 month interest free option to by a season ticket, even the more expensive one's, and 93:20 and Joe's(mint balls) aren't selling very well.(as many of us predicted

Would anybody like to add anything else
?

I started off by admitting I could be right or 'wrong'.

right or wrong

According to some posters on here. Not me. I've questioned the annual 2000 fans who don't renew.

quite a few haven't renewed from last season

A positive comment.

Another positive comment.

plenty of new fans using the 10 month interest free option to by a season ticket, even the more expensive one's

According to some posters on here who have seen the planner, and have a rough idea of how many seats are still available.

A negative comment.

and 93:20 and Joe's(mint balls) aren't selling very well.(as many of us predicted)

As I've already stated, I could be wrong. But let's be honest, I don't think the club or ticket office are arsed about what I think or post.(perhaps it even gave them a laugh?) Apart from the people who matter at the club, and perhaps some on here who may know the truth, but aren't saying, we're all guessing about the take up, etc. But I don't see that as a problem, as this is a forum, where such things get discussed.

As for the comments by ballinio, ManCityX in particular, and others, you've never met me and don't know me. You don't know me as a person, my personality, or my character, which you've questioned. Those people who I have met via BM are in a much better position to question my character, and me as a person. :-)

And just for the record.

For the last 3 years I've been taking pictures of the CFA and South Stand being constructed. Not once have I ever criticized Sheikh Mansour or the club. My pictures are re-posted all over the world, and are free to be used by anyone. The pictures by themselves send out a positive message about our club. On the back of my pictures I have also fought City's corner since Sheikh Mansour bought the club. In my little bubble I have changed the perception of Sheikh Mansour and the club on SSC. (City of Manchester Stadium/Etihad Stadium | 48,000 Seats | Expansion | U/C - http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=1568058&page=40 - Manchester City to enter administration - http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=683324&page=48 - MANCHESTER - Etihad Stadium (47,670 -> 62,170) - http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=242581&page=57 )

Like others I have now had my say. I'm not going to get involved in trench warfare, so I'm going to leave it at that.
Sound very positive to me &, spot on, as far as I can tell.
