City & FFP | 2020/21 Accounts released | Revenues of £569.8m, £2.4m profit (p 2395)

It would seem you can accelerate spending plans and carry a deficit provided you haven't been hit with sanctions the previous three years

Seems as though you are now allowed to do what we did, but we can't and we won't be able to in the near future either

Not corrupt though, not at all

any judge with one ounce of sanity will not allow this to happen

This is UEFA FFP 2 new rules mean the old ones don't exist, does this mean we have to abide by the FFP 2 new rules?
FFP rules are the same apart from not allowing clubs who have been sanctioned previously to benefit from the relaxed measures.

We are clear from FFP and Khaldoon has already stated we are profitable.

Other than the breakeven rule which we knew we had to abide by there is no difference. We are clear of FFP now so there is nothing to worry about.

Not at 2 days notice before the transfer window opens. We'll smash that one right through the courts.

So in effect , they are trying to punish us twice for the same "offence" (which is now to become allowed but only for others)
First , large fine and squad restriction, and now stopping us from taking advantage of new regulations ,which will allow others to commit the same "offence" as we did,but because we have already been punished for the same offence ,which is now to become allowed but only for others, we are to be possibly fined and have squad restrictions for committing the ... er... same... er... Well you can see the sense in it - can't you?

If they start with us again , this time I would be tempted to do whatever we want and wrap them up in legals for as long as it takes. I would publicly court Du Pont and chums , give them a huge wedge of cash to get the very very best team with them and just seriously blow them apart . I would hand files on FIFA , Uefa, harrys dog the lot. We took our pinch piss off now.

Brennan is just speculating, how would he know anything if the arn't announcing anything for another two or three weeks.Which to be honest sounds like bollocks, what if we already bought all our targets the UEFA say 3 weeks down the line "We have new rules which don't include you".Actually i could see the c**ts doing that.

Paul you need to tell them coonts at the M.E.N. my blood pressure is up again, bastards the lot of em.

Get the new players in and argue this new FFP post dates the purchase of those players and therefore their fees and wages will not be included in any future financial declarations against the new FFP.

Is correct.

All the article says is we are not elegible for the NEW rules and will have to live with existing rules. which is what we were planning anyways by the look of it.

Not sure what the fuss is about either it doesn't change anything.

If anything I think our owners might be behind these headlines as it makes the clubs trying to sell to us think twice about trying to up the price.

Why is everyone flapping here now?

We have passed FFP whether it is in place or not
Because Stuart Brennan is saying that the new rules don't lift existing sanctions.
Which is true.
What he hasn't said is the fact that if City made a profit on FFP related transactions last season then the sanctions (other than the non returnable part of the fine) are lifted regardless.
