I think the owners wanted to do the same as they did with Fenway and stay and develop, cheaper as well.

Chelsea are rebuilding stamford bridge to a total of £500 million.

And there it is, the elephant in the room. Wasn't your club one of the instigators of FFP? Well you're fucked now.

I would say his agent was the one who did most the mishandling.

A Liverpool fan talking shit, who'd a thunk it. His agent is doing his job. His first loyalty is to his client and not to LFC. As unpalatable as it might be, you cultists need to accept that Sterling and his agent have done nothing wrong. Liverpool underpaid him, then made it public and then used their former players to drag Sterling's name through the mud for wanting what every player wants. A chance to win things and be paid what he's worth. Liverpool are a busted flush. You've had your day, you are the past. A fading club run by shysters and managed by a shiny toothed charlatan.
I can't wait to watch Sterling score against you at Klanfield and run the full length of the pitch before sliding on his knees in front of the kop like Adebayor did.

You can have as much faith as you want in the club but no one can deny that it isn't looking brilliant at the minute.

Khaldoon, I love the man, but that interview where he promised high quality signings... What the hell was he thinking saying that? He's just setting the fans up for disappointment. Our top 3 targets have been known publicly for months now. Pogba, Sterling, De Bruyne. Why now, when we should be edging closer to finalising the deals, does it look like 2 of them are close to collapsing because we don't want to pay the asking prices. I literally can't cope if this turns in to Hazard mk2 and we walk away over £4m or £5m. It's just been amateurish the last few windows and we need to make a strong statement this summer and we need to do it soon before we lose out again.

Flap over.

I deny it.

Ikea stand ? bet it comes with a scr

Also with Fenway, they didn't get a whole lot of choice as there is no room to expand or build a new stadium anywhere near that part of Boston. They did make many improvements at Fenway and added seats wherever they could but at the end of the day, it was not many and the Red Sox despite having a huge payroll, don't make anything near the game-day revenue that a team of their calibre should. One way or the other, they will have to bite the bullet and build a whole new stadium somewhere and that will not go down too well with whatever neighbourhood they do it in.

BTW, I live in Boston (transplanted Paddy) and support the Red Sox and in the main support John Henry's ownership - hey 3 World Series since 2004 is pretty damn good. But first and foremost, I am a City fan and I am not sure that the same methods will work with Liverpool, even though there are similarities; old historic stadium, large fan base etc. It will be interesting what the long-term plan is for Anfield. Henry has hinted in the past that when/if the Red Sox build a new stadium, that he will be out of the picture by then - whether that means FSG also remains to be seen.

Anyway, I will take our ownership every day of the week.

That, Stony, is exactly what their fans cannot handle.

I'd have to question how you have arrived at the assumption that it isn't looking good? It's all conjecture in the media, we are fishing. Deliberate ploys, in my opinion, set up by the club. Whilst it is only an opinion based on anything but fact and my own observations, like yourself I suppose, it does perplex me how our fans can gather so much negativity and then allow that to effect their use of common sense.

I'm not saying that your wrong or that I'm right, it is only an opinion, but I think anymore flapping from yourself and other posters on here and we will all soon be airborne.

Can only assume you haveprefer to agree with the tabloids. Txiki et al know exactly what they are doing. IMO your flapping a little too soon.

It's like the school yard bully. Tbh, I feel a bit for the lad. He could do with getting himself out of there before he kills some fucker.

I know. They talk about how popular they are around the world but won't think twice about setting the dogs on a young lad who - regardless of how he or his agent have gone about it- wants to leave. I bet they were rubbing their hands when he got booed in Dublin.
