Is in worth £5m to have a toxic dressing room for the full pre season, a tour with this media storm hanging over it, where every press conference will be overshadowed by this situation. It's just absurd. If they keep him for another month it will just derail Liverpool's season.
If they keep him for another month, it just pisses off all the impatient City fans who expected us to have made at least one first team signing by now.

It also shows Liverpool aren't a soft touch and won't allow players to set the terms of their departure. If I was a Liverpool fan, I'd be delighted at their stance. They're a fading entity as a big player in both European and English football, the realistic portion of their support (I'm sure it exists) will know this, but at least they'll see their club going down with somewhat of a fight.

Those scousers eh....

I love how they're all pretending they're getting an amazing deal out of it. Even if we bought him for the full £50 million, they're reportedly going to spend the majority of it on Benteke for £35 million. Taking away QPR's sell on fee leaves them with £40 million. Then add on the cost of Benteke's new wages above the 35k Sterling currently gets. He's going to be on something near a ballpark 100k wage. So that's an extra £7 million in wages over the course of Sterling's remaining contract with them. They're still going to be paying money out for a vastly inferior player. But yeah, you're all getting a great deal la.

"We expect Manchester City to make a new bid for Sterling before the end of the transfer window" - SSN.

I'm so pleased for Henderson, he's "loyal and a winner" according to Gerrard.

How ironic, he might well be uber loyal, but a "winner" he isn't, and that's in big part down to you Gerrard.

Wasn't he demanding a pay rise a few months back in order to stay at the dippers?

Torres (at the time), Mascherano, Suarez and now Sterling.

Liverpool are a club struggling to come to terms with the reality of their place right now. They are fighting the perception of being a club big players leave hence the onslaught on Sterling.

They, and the world just can't comprehend that moving to us is a step up for the lad so the narrative has to be greed.

"I'm not happy with all that carry-on. He needs to go in and see the owners," added Gerrard, who is set to make his Galaxy debut in a friendly against Mexican side Club America on Saturday.

"You don't have to throw in illness, or refuse to go on tour. There are millions of Liverpool fans waiting to see Raheem pull on a Liverpool shirt.

But he doesn't want to play for Liverpool a factor the fucknut hasn't thought about, it doesn't matter a jot what the Liverpool fans want or what they expect, it's up to Sterling. the longer this goes on the more I feel for the lad.

The loser in all of this is Sterling. Poor fucker only wants to better himself and is rightfully jumping at the chance to move to a club better positioned to win trophies. He must be watching this stand off between us and them and shitting himself at the prospect that we don't pay up and his current club are too hardfaced to take the fair price that's on offer.

Imagine having to play infront of that bunch of hateful bastards next season, fighting for a top 4 place in a team full of shite free transfers, if he's been robbed of a realistic chance of winning medals with us!
