I'm staggered at what i'm reading on here at present. If ever there was a man stuck in a catch 22 with some of our supporters it's Txiki. Suddenly everyone's an expert on how to negotiate deals and everyone thinks what they would've paid is what matters when patently the opposite is true. As for Liverpool being "winners" in all this - I'm close to a couple of scousers, and they're feeling like anything but winners - especially with the prospect of BenTakeaway just around the corner.

One down three to go.

Who's the 3rd in the 3 to go? Delph alternative?

Liverpool haven't won anything. They sold a player who was universally despised for a massive, they sold Torres for crazy money too and they supposedly won then. What is teh common denominator in this? They posekey players and replace with multiple inferior players. Liverpool are on a treadmill going nowhere but working harddoing so. Every time they nurture a player to world class level they have lost themand will continue to. And that is why they aren't winners, it's like somebody celebrating they've still got teeth left but got a broken nose and two blacked eyes after a fight.

@Zin 'messiah' Zimmer what's not to like?

You don't think we will get Pogba?
Think midfield,is too exposed with Nasri in there rather than one of the 2'Fernandos

Hart

Zabba Komps Mangala Kolarov

Aranguiz

Yaya Pogba

Sterling Silva

Aguero

Subs Green, Denayer, Fabinho, McCarthy, Lopes, Nasri, Bony

The RAWK kopites chat some right shit.

Talking down Sterling and saying he a bit as good as he or we think. Why are they so bothered about him then?

Fact is guys we've just taken away their best player and hopefully we take Coutinho away next year just to bury another nail in their coffin. I knew it was curtains for them the moment one of our loan players became one of their best (Bellamy) and that the rot was setting in. The yanks did a number on them and they've never been able to reclaim that lost ground. Spurs will be closer than them to top four next season yet Spurs are ran prudently.

I am so so so chuffed with this transfer, it gives us that genuine pace and directness we have lacked since Bellamy left.

If fans ever turn around and say that they're not bothered about a player leaving or that they're good at best they're normally gutted about said player leaving!

If Liverpool turned around and offered £40M for Navas I wouldn't sit here calling Navas shit, I'd be sat here cock in hand ripping the end off at how we just mugged off Liverpool as I know Navas' true value as a player!

Liverpool FC and their fans know that losing Sterling is a massive blow on their part especially with losing Suarez only a year ago and replacing him with shit, their fans probably fear that the same will happen again.

They got Milner from us for free and we're (potentially) paying £40-45M for Sterling the way I see it we got the better deal, Milner was a work horse and a great utility player and at Liverpool he will get first team but it says it all when Liverpool are signing a player from us who was considered a utility squad player who struggled to make 5 consecutive first team appearances and we're signing a player from Liverpool who is considered to be one of their best players!

City got £54.1m just for being in the Premier League last season, which covers the Sterling fee, so Sly have basically bought him for us, how nice of them. Add the Premier league prize money, TV rights and it puts it in the region of £100m.

Txiki has done well with this deal, Liverpool are notoriously bastards when it comes to selling players but he's stuck at it and we've got our man. I genuinely think this will be our best signing since Aguero and if we manage to get just one of Pogba and De Bruyne it will have been a good window.

Fuck me, you blow with the wind.

Thank he will be a big player for City and England in the coming years. Yes it's a lot of money but there's a lot of money flying around the game right now. He's a long term signing and I expect him to link up well with Silva and Aguero. Welcome to Manchester Raheem

let the cult that is candle pool have their "iiiiiistry"

let the sly fuckers at sky have their digs and agendas along with the ex scouters and their bitterness

we will have him on the pitch where is matters and thats it

i don't care what we pay for him and what he has done to get to us (and we all know that its nothing)

ALL that matters is what we and he does on the pitch and he improves our team and squad as he gives us options.

he has moved to us to improve as a player and to improve his chances of winning silverware - neither would he do at the red scouse

Hope sterling tells them to piss off when it's time to give interviews. It's harsh on the lad pulling shit like that and I hope the club and Vicky Kloss are aware
