Well, I .said a couple of times "one goal in sixteen internationals only saying", but we have spent it now so come on now Raheem give your all for the Blues !!

Interesting stat if true.

I don't think he will reach Messi levels of performance, but if he can go on and become a 20 goals a season winger he will have done well.
 
I don't get anyone who has an issue with a transfer cost......they are really saying that they would prefer to read down the teamsheet and see 'Lambert' Ings' 'Borini' (if they came on a free) because they are better value....i think not!

I don't either mate, but it's an interesting comparison and you can see why we were so desperate to sign him. Most Liverpool fans are trying their hardest to convince themselves that they have got the best of the deal and Sterling won't fit our system. The thought that we may have bought him with a mind to changing the way we play hasn't even crossed their minds.

120 games - 34 goals, most of which were in a far superior side to the dippers and he's a striker...

Raheem sterling - 129 games-23 goals..... from midfield

We're getting a very special talent, they know it, we know it!!!

To add, just noticed shrek hasn't hit 20 goals in four out of the last 5 seasons, world class, the white pele!!

Sterling topic. Keep it to vile personal abuse of the player and his agent, mockery of City throwing money at a player who does not fit in their side, and general exasperation at the people distrusting how the club will spend its windfall (and thinking that it would be original to post about it).

Well thats a good comparison in terms of a youth player because he and Sterling are the same age. Denayer gives you a good marker to understand where Sterling is at in terms of the development of his game and Denayer has yet to pull on a shirt for you.

This is a 20 year old Raheem, same age as Denayer, think of Ramsey (24) or Wilshere (23) aged 20. How much would you have paid for Wilshere aged 20 when he broke into the England team and people saying he has potential to be like Iniesta and Xavi? 3 years on hes only just starting to get set as a player aged 23.

I think some of you think hes further ahead in his development than he actually is. Youre thinking its like buying a David Silva aged 23-24, ready to slot right in, and your forgetting Raheem has only just turned 20.
 
Hope somebody is keeping an eye on John Aldridge or they put him in touch with the Samaritans, just sounded suicidal on Radio 5 .
