Don't have much faith in unofficial agreements.Who says we haven't already. These players might already have agreed to join us, but we're waiting for the window to open to officially announce them.

I understand why you are concerned by the fee mentioned but you have to try and take a positive view. If he continues to develop his price goes up. If Barca and Real, or PSG do come knocking we sell for more money than we paid to buy him. He's still developing but in terms of talent he has something that Verratti and Koke don't and that's the ability to do something ridiculous and turn a game on its head. Verratti and Koke are pure class from a technical point of view, I'd be over the moon with either in our side. But there have and will continue to be players like them coming through all over Europe, including our own academy hopefully. Manu Garcia for instance has that natural ability to run a game and dictate play.
The Prem hasn't had many players that can both control possession and also win a game off their own back. Fabregas did it with Arsenal. Lampard with Chelsea and Gerrard with Liverpool. Yaya has done it for us.If you were to pick a player for City with the game at 0-0 with ten minutes left and we needed a win, Pogba is the man I would want on the pitch. He's the player that can draw three in and beat them with a turn and a bit of pace and power. His passing is excellent and he can contribute more in terms of goals and I think he will. It's that pace and power that sets him apart from Verratti and Koke. If we can't sign him then we should look to other options. I doubt we'd easily sign either of those two though. They're both deemed as key players in their respective sides and to sign them would take a lot of cash as well.
Sterling, Pogba and De Bruyne would be an amazing summer window. Prices have gone up remember - Firmino's fee is crazy considering he's still a relative unknown.
I keep saying it to everybody the deal with sterling is done and just needs the OK from the media team at Manchester city to go to press the money we paid for him is around the £45million plus add ons taking it up to £50million over the 5 year deal but the fee will stay undisclosed fee
unless the dirty rats at Liverpool leak it
the bigger picture is somebody coming in that will marque the signing of sterling and will put it on front page of every media outlet giving sterling a rest from the media hype the summer is going fast and in 3 weeks the first team will be back in pre season and the new faces will be on show
Good post.
I agree with this as I rate Pogba but I dintbrate him at anywhere near the fees and wages suggested. Marchisio balanced Jive and Vidal helped with that. Pogba was allowed to roam due to the pace of the league and the sheer quality of that midfield also remembering they had Pirlo in that team.
For me, Koke is the bollocks, he is mr consistent and Athletico are in the same debt as United but without the big revenues. I think he's getable and it's good to move for him before Barca inevitably do in the future. Alacantara is the player I always wanted along with Isco. Both were standouts and both went for a lot lot less. Only tell will tell aye bud?
Why. What is wrong with him `chiming in`?
Couldn't disagree on this...it always seems that Chelsea are sniffing round they must be the biggest WUM's going. What I would like to know is how/why they are able to extortionate fees for shall I say gifted but certainly not amazeballs players? Casing point David Sideshow Luiz.
