Tottenham Hotspur thread (2015/16)

FA should say bollocks and tell them to play at Fulham or Arsenal

I think Fullham and Arsenal would probably have something to say about that. Not a cat in hells chance that Arsenal would let either of those clubs use the Emirates.
Can you imagine what we'd say if the rags come crawling to us if they were modernising the swamp. We'd give a big fat middle finger and tell the cunts to swivel on it.

I think we will be a lot more secure at the back this season but still need a quality CM and someone to challenge Kane.

I've saw Suarez from Athletico being rumoured as well as Llorente. Few seasons ago Llorente would of been good...not so now.

I thought the rags were sniffing round Kane? He might not be with you next season.

Kane won't be off. There's no concern amongst the fan base that he might be, think his recent comments have put everyone at ease.

The only one I'd be slightly concerned about is Hugo. Esp if De Gea is off to RM.
PSG brought in Trapp which rules out a Hugo return to France thankfully.

Remember everybody "The enemy of my enemy is my friend". We are not talking Manchester United (Scum) or the Dippers here !

Hope they pull it off. Enhances the premier league even more. Also think of the world cup. We could take it of Qatar very easily. Well done spuds like it.

Not bothered about Spurs anymore .
We took over them in 2011 .
Although I'm still bitter this lot beat us to 4th spot in 2010 .
And won the 1981 F.A cup .

Looks like the Spuds could permanently move above Candlepool in the pecking order when their new stadium opens.
Their stadium and the New Stamford Bridge probably will be the best in the PL, being state of the art, when they open.
Kind of scary to think that by 2018 The Etihad will be 16 years old (since the Commonwealth Games) and will have had total attendances
of about 20 million (all events).

Will finish 5th next season.

Can't argue too much with that, it'll be us or Liverpool fighting for there or thereabouts. United are the weakest link of the top 4 but they've spent heavily and the midfield looks a lot better now. We've at least purchased a few defenders Trippier (don't rate him that highly) wimmer (don't know much about him) and Alerwereld (sp.. looks good) , got rid of some shitty deadwood with Capoue, Paulinho but surprised we got rid of Holtby I quite liked him, not the end of the world though!

Alderweireld is a great signing, him and Vertonghen should be a solid CB partnership. They're players who are good enough for a top four team, aswell as Lloris, Eriksen and Kane.

The squad have had a year to really adjust to Pochettinho's tactics (workrate, pressing high up) and should kick on this season.

Another centre midfielder (McCarthy?) plus a talented winger and Tottenham will have a very good team this season.

Ponch really wanted Schneiderlin last season but they wouldn't budge, I think he wanted to join Spurs too as he liked Ponch's training methods. I'm not sure if we'll buy another CM even with them three being sold, but you never know. I think we'll see a bit of Alli and Pritchard this season (fingers crossed)

I'm not a big fan of Mccarthy but everyone seems to rate him highly, do you rate him much?! Maybe I've just seen him play average games

You probably need another CM to go along with Mason and Bentaleb. McCarthy would be a great signing for Spurs, he's got an unbelievable engine so would fit right into Pochettino's style of play. £20 million isn't a bad price either.

Pritchard could be one to watch this season. Looking at the way players like Lallana and Austin have stepped up from the Championship in the last few seasons, Pritchard definitely can. I reckon he'll be a regular starter by the end of the season.

I think if we did buy someone like Mccarthy Levy would try to include Lennon as part of the deal, he done pretty well over there. I'm still not a big fan though! My Roma friend told me Lazio were sniffing after Pritchard this week, don't know if it's bollocks, can't wait to see how he does when MP puts him in the team

Yeah, Lennon going the other way would make sense.

Pritchard, Eriksen and Kane is a really creative front 3. Would be a threat against any team in the league IMO. Pritchard seems a little unknown still, he really could burst onto the scene this season.

One thing I like about Spurs is the amount of youth products they have in the first team squad. Rose, Mason, Bentaleb, Townsend, Pritchard and Kane all came through the ranks at Spurs. I can't think of a team in the league who has more players who were brought through their youth system.

I'm still wondering how Kane will do in his second season, hopefully he don't get the usual second season syndrome a lot of strikers get

It's amazing how many have come through mate, in twenty years we only really see Campbell, Carr and King come through. We had wank in the 90's like Fenn, Rory Allen, Mahorn come through but they weren't anything special, it was as if reserves/academy didn't exist back then. Even in the last few years we've sold Caulker and Livermore as well, it definitely is refreshing considering we blew 100m on poor signings (bar Eriksen & Lamela)

Saying all that we'll still finish 5th/6th, cock up in the cups, play one million games in Europa and win sod all!! The hope that kills you I guess! lol

What did you think of the Sterling signing?!
