Trying not to wet myself laughing as according to the rag pontificator at work pig sticker is a brilliant signing as you can never get the ball off him. All his usual audience were sitting there like nodding dogs, he follows it up with "When this team gels we'll be going places. They still don't get it do they.

The fact is, the Red Cafe lot aren't comparing like with like here. The moderating over there is such that they have a Newbie forum that is invisible to non-members and you have to prove yourself to be at least a half-decent poster before getting promoted to the main forum. What this does is weed out not only the opposition fans that are on the wind-up, but also a large percentage of the dickhead element of their own support. If that's the way they want to moderate the forum that's fine - after all, it makes for some decent debates in the main forum that would otherwise be diluted by all manner of random comments - but what you're effectively left with is a forum that isn't an accurate reflection of United's support base. Whereas on this forum, any City fan can sign up and therefore it reflects our support base far more closely. That means our universal dislike of all things United (seriously, why would we hate anyone more than that lot?) will often come to the fore in this thread in particular and they start complaining about how we're calling them nasty names and have no class, etc, so implying that their fans are somehow generally better than ours.
 
Probably the best I've seen them deal in the transfer window for some time now and it's been needed!

They've strengthened an area which Van Gaal seems to operate around, now if they can organise their defence out and bring in 1 or 2 strikers to replace Van Persie and Welbeck I think you could call them serious title challengers, having said that I'm not looking forward to playing them especially with that midfield they have now as I'd think it's fair to say physically they out match us there!

RE all these transfer ins an douts: how are they doing for squad numbers? Are they being forced in to making the sales?

Seems like a lot of turnover of players this summer and last and linked to various other ins. They still need at least 1 more striker and a centre back! How does all this fit into a squad of 17 + 5 ?

Now he is addressing the gaps with little pretence about age etc. he is addressing the immediate and will likely improve.

All good until there's a bust up, he leaves and trey are left with all the rebuilding to do again.

So credit to him but looking forward to the drama. ;-)

Sorry mate, I don't see it that way at all. I think TT was found wanting last season, and only for the decline of other teams did he manage to scrape over the line to get a CL qualifying position. After all the hype about him, he couldn't deliver and he will be hurting that his reputation has been tarnished.

I now feel he is buying for an instant, but short term success to try and establish some credibility.
 
Right, just got in from work......is that fucking M18 bloke a Rag then...? What a ****.......
