De Bruyne?

times have changed, we're still a couple of top players away from chelsea in my opinion. can see arsenal and united both providing a much sterner assault on the league aswell. we're still a top centre mid and defender away imo
I completely agree. KDB, a CM (not that crock from Arsenal) and a quality LB and then we can mount a good challenge

I find the concept of fixing every possible problem with the team, in one transfer window, & panicking if it doesn't happen, bizarre. Even after you have tried several times to fix other positions, in other transfer windows, & it doesn't necessarily work, this time it will. Of course that would be wonderful if it was so easy, but it just doesn't happen. Occasionally, a club has a great window & finds several players who go straight into the team & fix a couple of weak spots, but how often ? Usually, maybe one player really kicks in, & the others take a year to settle, or never do.

We have a huge player in Sterling, & maybe are going to get one or two more. Maybe then we get one for a different position in the next window & he turns out a success, etc.

It might be the case, that Chelsea or whoever are better than us next season. That's just life. not a reason for mass suicide or sacking everyone. Just try to continue improving from there.

Sometimes clubs buy 5 or 6, & still only one works. How much overpriced shite have Chelsea bought over the years ?
What has that got to do with us? If anything last summer Chelsea strengthened their weakest areas (CM and CF) and won the league comfortably. With them seemingly standing still in the market this window represents an opportunity to sort out our weaknesses and surpass them to regain the league

Heeheehee.

I think thats everyone's problem mate. Kaldhoon promised world class, swift and decisive moves in the market and we would have a great preseason and be ready to get off to a flier in the league!

Yeah agreed, just the fact we was promised big signings and only have a 20 year old kid Sterling to show for it.

I really hope we pull a couple of signings out of the hat before the West Brom game, this week will be massive for us.

Could not agree more.

Would be a good argument if we hadn't had a few bad transfer windows in a row, if this one turns out to be not great then that's okay, because the next ones will be good, sorry but I don't buy argument. Sterling is a great signing, but apart from that we haven't really strengthened.

Still plenty of time yet, but we have a lot of work to do if we are to mount a serious challenge for the title.

Just fuck a bid in.

If it gets accepted; great
If it gets rejected; bid again

Worked for Sterling.

It will never be revealed to us public simpletons, but would love to know the real inner workings of a transfer like this and why it has absolutely stalled. Seems ten days ago this was apparently all but done. Now we're seven days until start of season, he's in Germany winning trophies and we've not even put in a bid. So bizarre.

Couple quotes from him in the sun.

Basically saying if a bid comes in he will hear about it and be told how much etc.

Also says the prem is the place to be and that nobody yet has made a bid.

This is getting on my tits now. It really is. I can't understand why the fuck we haven't bid because to me Wolfsburg are practically saying come and fucking do it. They've told the lad they'll keep him in the loop like they're fucking expecting one.

What the fuck are we waiting for? The fucking tooth fairy? I don't get it. What are we playing at?

This has gone on so long with so many drops from Wolfsburg (if you read between the lines) I'm starting to think that we are genuinely not interested in the player.

It's alright saying there are 4 weeks left but would we really let something like this drag on this close to the season? It's comes across a little unprofessionally and that is not something I would ever level against us.

I've read that back now and I'll admit I sound like I'm flapping, but it stands to reason that many people would be absolutely perplexed with the time this has taken.

We don't want him?
