Explain how at this point were better off? Delph isn't as good as Lampard or Milner, and as brilliant as Sterling is, we've lost Jovetic and Dzeko too. We're a week to go until the season starts and we're ill prepared. We've been after De Bruyne since Christmas, and whilst I expected the deal to take a while, I expected some movement by now, this is why you pay DOF six figure sums.it's not unreasonable for City fans to question the lack of movement.
Is he not coming?
We didn't end the season too badly you know.
all judgement should be reserved until September and if we land our targets it'll all be forgotten that we didn't get them for the first 2 or 3 games. but hard not to be frustrated with no news on any fronts the last few weeks, with the Stuttgart game not helping any.If the rumours are correct and this has fallen through I think I want Txiki's head to be honest. Im a peaceful man and really hoped he would pull through this summer, but this would be missing 2 of our targets and getting the other at a discount of 1 million after a protracted negotiation. Its decidedly not outstanding.
No we didn't, but there were still areas of the side that needed improving which we've so far failed to address, if we sign De Bruyne, which I think we will, obviously improves us hugely.

I do.Its the fucking school holidays.Just the signing of Sterling alone, is fucking enormous compared to what Dzeko & jovetic produced. Then we have all the various young players such as Denayer added to the squad, then Delph is just some no mark, to some City fans, which i find incredible tbh.
I remembe when we signed Rodney marsh. It used to be the case that we signed one player, or maybe just a fill in & occasionally, a big one. Mike Channon was another. Then it became the case that we signed mostly nobody worth talking about, most seasons.
Now we are expected to sign more than one fucking astronomical signing, just or it to be an average transfer window or peole are going to complain.
I repeat, I don't know what the fuck is happening to our supporters.
Is there transfer market for supporters, by any chance. If there is, is there any chance we could transfer some of the whingers to the rags before the window closes.Just the signing of Sterling alone, is fucking enormous compared to what Dzeko & jovetic produced. You can't say stuff like that mate when 40 years ago we only bought 1 player a season.just sterling and delph wont do imo. to properly challenge chelsea we need another 1/2 top class players to turn us into a superpower. our defence first and foremost is appalling and needs addressed asap
I would have hoped that years of buying the Pink Final' ("final scores!!") at the back of the North Stand in order to get the..err.... final scores only to see the half times printed on the back would have made you more cautious, mate.To which Mr. Brent would surely say, "I've never come across a little queer"
Methinks Brent would have KDB et al signed by now, One look at those Cuban heels and it would all turn Swales-like and we'd be parading them all in front of the great and good of Fleet Street (whilst searching for the funds to support the cheques just signed) - fuck, it was sooooo much easier when we had nowt!
Off topic I know, but I remember walking down Corporation St circa 1992/3 and the MEN billboard announced, (amidst much speculation that Les Ferdinand had indicated he might want a move)
...Les Says City.
Note there were no speech marks, and very deliberately so, for upon purchasing said newspaper, it seems that the speech marks would have been written as such: "Les" says City. Rather than the hoped for...Les says, "City".
Crafty cunts!
times have changed, we're still a couple of top players away from chelsea in my opinion. can see arsenal and united both providing a much sterner assault on the league aswell. we're still a top centre mid and defender away imoYou can't say stuff like that mate when 40 years ago we only bought 1 player a season.
