De Bruyne?

Been watching a few compliations of KDB over the last couple of days. There has been a lot of talk of where and how will he be utilised in City's team. This video caught my eye, his MOM performance against hull back in 2013, he quite clearly operates in a 3 man midfield. Yes, his crossing is out of this world and everyone seems to be licking their lips over him playing wide right however I think he is more than capable of playing centrally in a 3. His passing ability impresses me the most, his weight of pass is almost silva like. Judging by his stats this season, he has clearly scrubbed up in the shooting department.

Yes exactly. Also that pass at 2:52 is why I like to see him play in midfield. You can also find some videos of his performances at bremen that are also very central like this one for example


nothing special, but you can see he adds a lot of dept to the play.
 
think we'll have a very quiet day tomorrow as well with City Live. Maybe some news on Thursday I hope

Some of his goals at Bremen were magnificent! I'm trying to find a video of his performance vs Bayern at the weekend. Keep seeing either his assist to Bendter or the open net he fluffed.

The Silva-KDB overlap could be a huge outlet for us this season, if he signs.

Ideally, we would still need a LB and a top quality DM specialist but, either way, I'd still expect our approach to be 'we'll score more than you'

I wasn't referring to foreign spaces. I was just talking about Dzeko out then KdB in, that's all. We want Dzeko's wage gone before securing KdB.
As for the spare foreign slot created by Jovetic leaving that is earmarked for a potential move for a CB. I do mean potential nothing 100% on that one.
 
If our signings end up being Sterling, De Bruyne, Delph it will remind me of many of my Football Manager transfer windows.
At the end of the season I'd look at what positions I needed to upgrade but once the window opened I'd get sidetracked by attacking players and not really do what I needed to do.

Ferran and Txiki have made a note of your error, and are about to prevent you from recovering by purchasing a number of Defensive options....mwahahahaha! ;)

Outscoring the opposition will always win it for me. So l put in Kolarov for he's way better than Clichy when I comes to attacking, crossing, and he can take a free kick. Nothing to be solved at LB.

Ive only just got Football manager and Txiki hasnt successfully signed me one player :)

Saying that though, I dont know if you can trust it, I got £38m for Nasri from Juventus.

Well, one could ask if Navas and Nasri are players we don`t need upgrades for. I think we do.

Aguero, KDB, Silva, Sterling, Yaya, Dinho. This is unbelivable good. At the same time I agree with you that the squad still needs upgrades, but it is not only defense/cm which needs improvment. Add a few decent defend players next year, and we are in for the CL. With KDB, we are already in for the league title.
