No win situation for Utd. De Gea will be upset if he's held to the club despite making his wishe very very clear, and if they keep him it will hang over the club. If they let him go, they'd need a new keeper although Romero did well against Spurs.

Should have been sorted 2 months ago giving them time to get a top keeper in.

Utd are 12 months into team rebuilding having spent almost 1/4 of a Billion pounds (£150m plus £80m). They should be almost Champions elect but I am not sure they will finish above Liverpool. Whatever you think about Liverpool, they are a solid team, who once they get Sturridge back will at least match what they did last season.

Van Gaal has already assessed and publically admitted that he has been mentally affected by the issue. Some of the distraction might recede as the window shut but it would be a huge gamble if they kept him, the window shut and his form went. I think maybe that's why LVG played Romero against SPurs. He wanted to see how good his insurance policy was in case De Gea cracks. I think they are planning on keeping him with Romero the stand in if De Gea wobbles.

Shouldn't run a top club like that.

Their fans must be praying that Memphis turn out to be the player they hope. They need someone with star quality to raise their game. I'm not sure Rooney can do that now. The defence and midfield look solid but there's no creativity. Very lucky to beat Spurs although it's way too early to form any firm views of how it's going to pan out.

Unfuckingbeliveable.... Sky sports now marketing this weekend.... "All FIVE Premier League heavyweights in one weekend! I know of three heavyweights; us Chelski and Arse and one makeweight... the scum! Who is the fifth? I don't think they can mean Bournemouth can they? Tottenham finished fifth six points ahead of their nearest rival... Strange!

Odds are they'll sign Otamendi and Pedro which, if they adapt quickly, will make them a serious threat.

I rate him very highly but doubt we're even in for him having signed Sterling and with KDB on the way. From what I've read, it seems most likely he'll end up at yours with Pedro. Hope not as I think both would improve your starting 11.

We're just going to string him along until a few minutes after the deadline so that they don't get him I reckon.

Still think they won't do shit. Their goalkeeper is mediocre and the defense hasn't improved at all. Flop of the season.

Also, as it's only a day out it gives them a head start for the Thursday night games later in the season......cunts.
