To be honest I'd just as likely put it down to him joining United and them mixing us up. Sounds like the kind of thing a UEFA employee would do.

If he was exactly what they need, they would have signed him, before this thread existed. Read the O.P. if you don't believe me. He isn't the player they wanted. He's what's left.

I imagine he would be an improvement for them & maybe a huge one or perhaps not. And suit their style too, more than he would suit us. And score a few from corners etc & be heroic, or go missing at key moments defending them, nobody knows until he plays a season or two. But unless most of the Premier League continues to play against the shirts rather than the team, then the rags need a lot more than him.

You can never tell with Utd because of the way opponents fail to cash in when they fuck up, but to me, they really should get exposed, aith or without him.
