Keep dreaming, it's never gonna happen
I'm a City fan dreaming is in my DNA.
Keep dreaming, it's never gonna happen
So as I see it now, 4 high quality centre halves. Eldest bring Kompany at 29, not 30 till late next Spring, Otamendi at 27 not 28 till Febuary. Mangala 24. Denaya 20. That's a hell of a centre back pool. Even if we keep Demichellis I see him as the 5th centre mid. A last 20 minutes type of guy. Taking a role similar to Lampard only defensive.
Denayer or his agent has a right to be concerned, but he's still very very young. Chelsea have players of similar ability and development out on loan. Kalas & the Danish lad.
Verane isn't a regular starter at Madrid. Mangala is still seen as raw at 24. Denayer will have to accept that he is a couple of years at least away from top level PL & CL football.
If I were his advisors I'd recommend he stays and learns the City way this season, hopefully getting 20 appearances in all comps. Then look for a decent loan next season, Everton, Southampton level. Then fight for his place as a fully developed 22/23 year old.
Dzeko, Milner, Lampard, Boyata, Jovetic out of the first tam 25. Sterling, Otamendi, Delph, Denayer, Nacho and hopefully De Bruyne in.
These signings, this squad will be a very frightening thought for the Prem.
We have added size, power and speed to our very technically gifted squad.
We will still buy players of course we will
There's no rush with the young players - as tolmie said before players like denayer could go elsewhere and get valuable experience
Not saying it's a bad thing, I want him out as much as you doI'm a City fan dreaming is in my DNA.
Think it depends if Denayer stays or goes out on loan. I think he will will be used as back up DM, coming on to tighten us up to protect our lead as we have seen in both games this season.Do we think he is buying Otamendi and planning on using Demi as a back up to both the DM and CB role this season ?
It isn't pretty. But nothing raggy ever is.Has anyone been over to the dark side to read their views on Otamendi? I imagine they must be spitting feathers given how long they've been linked with him?
If say we get to the UCL semi and Yaya and David are not available/injured we would need a 'Pogba' type player even with KDB onboard. Just a thought and not wishing to put a damp squib on these happy times. Everton 0 City 2 at least. The only thing I'd say is we need to be looking at a long term replacement for Yaya, which is why Pogba would have been a perfect signing. Once that's in place we're good to go.
Just lost complete respect for Guillem Balague. Would never claim to be an ITK but I know enough to know his quotes on Sky Sports are wildly inaccurate.
It has everything to do with the Negredo money!
Probably "Don't want him, never wanted him, he's shit, Jones is better, remember that match in '98..." e.t.c. e.t.c.Has anyone been over to the dark side to read their views on Otamendi? I imagine they must be spitting feathers given how long they've been linked with him?
Yep, Joe could take the corners....ground breaking tactics. Haha. Why stop there, why not go the whole hog and drop Hart and play with 6 up front?!
That probably did the trick, kippaxman.I only noticed the other week I got blocked from him on twitter. Might have been when I called him the biggest bullshitting **** going and that Sticky Vicky in Benidorm has more idea of transfers in Spain than that hedge betting **** box.
