De Bruyne?

Putting this in its barest financial terms, 10m€ a year earns KDB 93.5k€ net per week.

Even a salary of £200k per week offered by City would earn him 150k€ net per week.

Then we go onto the fact that footballing wise we are much more likely to win stuff AND our league is a lot higher profile.

I would hope that this should swing the matter (if indeed it needs to be swung).
If De Bruyne wanted to stay none of the last 3 months would have happened.

You wouldn't think so, reading many threads.

Too slow in dealing, too expensive, poor EDS lads, not getting enough for those we sell....
It's mostly the closet raggie's spunking stuff like that.

This guys is full of shit, KDB was offered a new contract over the weekend already, not today.

Nothing has come of it...

Cheers mate...good to know their offer over the weekend didnt change anything...if we can close this deal, we've had a near perfect transfer window!;)

We won't pay him £200k a week.

On the google first page, it says that he has dual Belgian and British nationality. https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=k...57.6829j0j7&sourceid=chrome&es_sm=93&ie=UTF-8

Bizzarely, it also says... 'Kevin De Bruyne is a Belgian professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder or winger for English club Manchester City and the Belgium national team.' Surely a WUM at work.

Why not if that is the going rate? We are playing with the big boys now so we have to match the best in the world if we want to be the best in the world!

I agree.....If we rate De Bruyne a 50+mil player...then 175-200k a week seems the level we'd have to pay for player rated so highly. My guess is that the 200k a week (if true) would be a mix of weekly salary and playing bonuses..

Mirror: Wolfsburg are finally ready to give in and sell Kevin De Bruyne (24) to City - if City offer their £57m asking price.

Almost all of our top players earn nowhere near £200k. Our new wages structure loads a lot of the financial reward into the bonus/performance related pay side of things. Even then there's almost no-one in the £200k bracket.

It would go against our wage structure. He will end up getting £150k a week with performance based incentives, like the majority of our other players.

Would prefer if we try and lower it, £52m (including addons) should be maximum imo, but at this point it'll be hard to convince them as they probably know we won't just leave the table.

I am utterly convinced that Wolfsburg want to take this to the wire so they don't have time to spend our money on anyone on account of the window being closed.

Why don't you enjoy it mate? Instead of constantly berating/baiting fellow fans?

Great times for the majority of us, KDB will be a beast alongside silva feeding aguero

I am enjoying it. But it's like being at an after party with the music going and everyone having a great time bar two or three people in the corner that keep repeating "I'm going under".

And better berate nobs that apparently are city fans with the ballsack of a gnat, than the management team undertaking the best transfer window in half a dozen years.
