He did a full pre season with Valencia so he should be fit. He doesn't have an EU passport but a work permit will be a formality since he's featured in the WC and Copa in the last 15 months.

Can't see why some people are complaining about this signing

1. We haven't had a full season out of VK for a few years now. This gives us quality cover
2. MDM is 34/35 and we would need to replace in summer anyway - word is he wants to go back to Argentina then so why not replace a little earlier if opportunity there
3. Mangala has been fantastic first 2 games - I want it to continue and wanted him to stay but certainly don't think we can make decisions on him after 2 games
4. Denayer is a talented kid who performed for Celtic - he needs to play regularly to develop. I'd suggest a loan to a top championship club or maybe an Everton/Villa type club would be ideal. Then we can better assess his level.

You're spot on. People are salty because we won't get to see denayer this year and it could negatively affect our development system. I get it ..but what's more important the youth system or the first team lol.
