De Bruyne?

Can't be arsed with this anymore, it's gone on too long. If he comes I hope he does well, if he doesn't, I won't be that bothered because he doesn't seem to be that bothered about coming to us. Sterling had his head screwed on the right way and made the required effort and you can still see him making the effort now when he throws his match shirt to the fans after each match. I am truly beginning to question KDB's commitment to us if, or when, he signs.
The reason I don't buy this is that KDB has shown little interest in his last two games; has refused 100k per week from his current club and has agreed terms for this. What is the point of sulking when there's still eight days of window left?

What...Why?!

Might as well say "If we can't get De Bruyne I can see a deadline day bid for Lloris."

Barkley can't do shit out wide, that's the main reason he had an awful season last year.

Think Barkely is more of a Pogba alternative

Regardless of what's what, if the Toffees are unwilling to let go of Stones for a big fee, they won't let go of Barkley under similar circumstances ie with 1 week remaining and little chance of a decent replacement.

I imagine as the window shortens that players out of favour or unhappy at their current club will be the credible possibilities. Can't see clubs selling their best regulars with little time to plan ahead and replace.
Although usually a pesimistic naysayer - I'm surprisingly confident we'll still get KDB.

I still think Wolfsburg are looking for his replacement and KGB is too nice to start chucking toys about and spitting dummies everywhere. You can see the lad's heart hasn't been in it during recent games.
The KGB are horrid to be fair.

I still think we will get him but have to admit to be concerned about a player who we were told favoured PSG at one stage to us and now is thinking about Bayern as a possible destination.

I agree mate....I have the same concerns! I understand this is a difficult deal to do and do think De Bruyne is "happy" to come to us because we offering a package difficult to refuse BUT also get the feeling that if PSG or Bayern offered the same deal, we might not be his 1st option......and I think thats why he "seems" to not be pushing for this deal as hard as we need.....maybe De Bruyne and his agent are happy to give this deal as long as possible, to give Bayern the chance to make him a strong offer.....If he and his family like it in Germany then maybe Bayern wont need to match our wage offer?.....I now think the longer this goes on the greater the chance he stays or goes to Bayern...we going to need to put the asking price on the table and just get it done...

Are we still worried that Bayern will offer Dante plus money to KDB to stay one more season in Wolfsburg?
If so I noticed that on the weekend Benatia left Bayerns game in Hoffenheim with an injury, and Boateng got the red card. Javi Martinez is still injured as far as I understand, so that leaves Dante as the only available CB for Bayerns next game. Sounds a bit unrealistic to send him to Wolfsburg perhaps?

If Pogba is a no go, we could do a lot worse than Barkley. Excellent young player.

I like Barkley a lot but I think I'd let him stew at Everton for a year or so before going in for him. He could be the new Yaya in years to come but there's not much room for him in the starting XI right now. I just don't know where he'd play at the moment.

Don't be silly this is Guardiola we're talking about, Muller and Lewandowski at full back, Lahm and Thiago at centre half, Dante up front and Neuer in midfield alongside Rafinha. Problem solved.

Yaya is unique, we won't see a new Yaya for some time.

People moaning about De Bruyne should come out to push the move, aguero never said a word stayed loyal to his club and was linked to every top club in Europe, then he signed for us..

If we don't get KdB I don't really think we should go for anyone else, we're technically fine as is and the only other targets that can improve us we won't get this late in the window or they won't move as they're at a better club already. De Bruyne is a transfer that should be able to push us an extra mile in CL, but we can still win PL without him.

Errm not true he released a statement on his website weeks before he joined us to say he wanted to leave!

To be fair didn't Aguero release a statement that summer saying he wouldn't return to Atletico and then stayed in Argentina instead of going back to training while discussing a move to us?

I'm now beggining to doubt the wisdom of this signing and where he will fit into the side under the current set up.

I think the long term plan will be for him to replace Silva's spot in the team, lets face it that wont be for another three years at least as Silva is untouchable in my eyes. The problem then is that he will have to play as we are spending £50m + to land him , he wont be sat on the bench in any of the big games. The only spot that is open is to replace Navas on the right.

There are a couple of issues with this

1. He doesn't work as hard as Navas , he will show a similar amount of tracking back that Silva and Nasri display, which is basically a token effort in most cases.
2. He is not a right winger so will have a tendency to cut inside into the space that Silva is operating in, simlar to how Silva and Nasri interact when they are both on the pitch.

The current set up is so balanced , we are just a bit hamstrung with the fact that Navas doesn't really offer a goal threat and couldn't finish his dinner.

I would prefer us to go out and get the best orthadox right winger we can , which could be the reason we were looking at Pedro.
