Attendances

Let the club shift the tickets for you. If they do then for every game you can't attend this season you get your season ticket for next season reduced by 1/19th. Hopefully someone else gets to use your seat & they pay whatever the actual matchday price is & not a hugely discounted price. Obviously the club win too as the seat is effectively sold twice. http://mcfc.co.uk/Tickets/2015-16-Extras/TicketExchange

Ta mate. Think I'll get on this as can't make West Ham now!

I'm a season ticket holder and can't make it to every home game due to working the odd weekend.

When I wasn't able to make it to games last year it was pretty difficult to shift tickets for the lesser games, even for free.

I think the age of sky, foreign TV, openbox, etc, means people can't be bothered if it's on at home/the local.
People on here would snap your hand of for a ticket or get the club resell it & you then get discount on next years season ticket

Only about 900 left for Watford. Will sell out in next couple of days.

Think we will beat the Chelsea crowd.

As I said in another thread, the West Ham info suggested that will be the first game with absolutely all seats now available. I'm thinking they took some out of service for works after the Chelsea game? Not sure.

West ham haven't taken the 3rd tier tickets , so they are available on the planner at £30. With other tickets priced £36 - £41 and Watford from £39 there has definately been a downward shift on matchday ticket price which can only be a help selling out the majority of games.

No - there were 300 not ready for the Chelsea game - will be ready for West Ham - in the South West Corner.

PB - it is like catching a wasp - 876 as at 2.53!!!

Think you better check the planner again some more seats have just appeared on it.

I have just had a look. Few corporates but they have sold really well today. 100% it will be announced a sell out tommorrow at some point. I would say 500 now - max.

so with the extras in the SW corner we could break our record again on Saturday - might even get past the Sunderland 73 game figure

No - they wont be ready until West Ham - we will still beat the Chelsea game as they didn't release some of the lower rows vs Chelsea and the North East and West Corners seem to be selling more. I.e not as execs but as normal seats. I dare say they will have squeezed a few extra seats in as well and more will turn up as it a Saturday / not on tv.

One problem we might have in breaking the record on Saturday is Watford. They have taken their full allocation but haven't yet sold out. I've no idea how many they have left.

Interesting question, if anybody can answer it I'd be grateful, when did we last have 50,000+ for successive home matches? It must be a long time ago, if ever.

Criminal? I occasionally leave my lad's seat empty rather than sell it for a pittance - I enjoy the extra room. I liked viagogo when you could value the tickets worth to yourself. Stop worrying about empty seats - they've been paid for. If more tickets are needed, then it's time to build the North Stand extension.
Surely it's not about worrying about empty seats it's about those people who may have missed the waiting list cut or those trying get tickets to games and are told they can't by the club as its "sold out" only to see empty seats at a match when they watch it on tele. That must piss people right off!

Hey Wilf - I am going back to Easter 1955 - Good Friday 8th April - City vs. WBA - City win 4-0. Att. 57,000.
Next Day Easter Saturday 9th April - City vs. Sunderland - City win 1-0 (with a penalty by Don Revie IIRC) .Att. 60,000 . Sunderland had a reserve keeper called Dunlop (think their regular keeper was injured the day before when they beat the Rags 4-3 at Roker). Funny that City had 2 home games at Easter - Good Friday and Easter Saturday.
I am sure Gary James can confirm or correct what I say.
We lost the 1955 Cup Final to Newcastle a month later.3-1.
