Wtf, pellers said it was only a loan an hour ago! To be honest had my reservations about whether lopes could ever make it here but it's sad he wasn't given more opportunities. Time will tell whether this is a good decision by the club...

Maybe because Nasri looks miserable on the bench and will probably be sold in 1 or 2 years anyway whereas Lopes could have been here for a decade and would be on far less wages.

It is a little bit strange, I agree. Pellegrini is not one for winding people up. He'll either say it as it is, or just bat the question away with a straight bat. So I'm inclined to believe that Pellers didn't know exactly what was happening. Or more worryingly, he wasn't aware that Lopes only had one year left on his contract. I don't really get his comments!

We only pay £12m for Roberts if he fulfills all his add-ons, in which case he'll be a first team regular.
