A mate of mine is just the opposite and he's gone to the Scum all his life. Talking yesterday he was saying as a club compared to us they are miles behind, they don't do anything for the fans, he even mentioned personalising season cards saying it's only a small thing but City seem to care about the fans.
Another at work just spouts the shite most do, he said to me the other week "you're obsessed with United" I replied " in a way I am, I'm taking a very close interest in your fucking demise and laughing all the way"

De Gea, Hernadez, Valdes and Evans all look to be going or gone yet I keep hearing in the media that United will be 'there or thereabouts'. I just can't see how their squad, never mind it's lack of quality, can get through approximately 50 games and be successful as there is no depth whatsoever.

They have an unknown keeper, a dodgy defence, and only Rooney upfront. Despite what their fans say, they have not improved in anyway. And unless Bale can play in midfield and in net at the same time, I'm not sure why they are going after him? Unless they are after him the way they are after Neymar by just 'expressing an interest'?

Their strategy, if it can be called that, seems poor for a club that wants to compete

BBC sport website.
Van melted welly consults the granny shagger about team selection.
This is seriously funny.
The thick twat can hardly talk.
Absolutely brilliant.

And as the squad gets smaller following the exits then that should help Rooney as I can't imagine numbers being a strong point.......

" er - I will play at number 8 boss "
" Thash a nine Wayne"
" Ok boss - nine. Erm Jizzjazzy at the two hooped thing then"
" you mean eight Wayne? "
" Thats it boss. Where will we play Gareth, Nicolas and Pedro boss? "
" er....... they aren't coming Wayne"
"What?? Next you will be saying no Neymar either. You know I was banking on them to demonstrate ambition like what I was promised....... and they would mean my pocket money went up too.... "
" No Neymar either Wayne.... its just you and Memphis until next summer holidays when you can go to Florida and pig out again "
" ooo great - can't wait !! "

very clever strategy 'we can all look at a brand new BMW but it dosn't mean to say were buying one' simply fill the dimwits down at the swamp with a hope and they will purchase tickets, after Bale it will be some other multi million pound transfer then another, there keeping the fans clutching at hope but there so thick it has not sunk in 'it will most likely never' because there so arrogant and stupid they cant see through the red mist, most are in denial that the demise of the club is happening and that everything is ticking over nicely this being on the back of a European triumph over the mighty Club Brugge, well after all Rooneys back on form 'isnt he' we all laughed at the comical ali quotes during the Iraq war but the ministry of of propaganda down at the swamp is in full swing and far exceeds comical ali's antics

My uncle used to take me to old trafford. Trying to make me a red. Growing up in Salford and thinking about it now. I fended off so much shit and secret hurt. Fucking proud now and more importantly the eclectic mix of players we have my desire

We are the team to beat

Sums them up admirably - " tyre kickers" of the transfer market

The Glazers have pulled their usual blinder of talking a lot about people they are going to buy, stringing the gullable masses along, then not actually buying anyone. It's amazing how often they fall for it, it's like they don't realise that the Glazers have absolutely no interest on spending anything above the bare minimum to be in the champions league. Last year they blew a load of money as they needed to get back in the CL, but they were never going to invest the same amount again in an attempt to kick on, as they simply don't care if they challenge for the title. I wouldn't be surprised if they sell De Gea at the last minute to avoid spending the money

So the 1/4 of a Billion spent by LVG is make-believe then?

Of course they want to be successful. The question is the competence of manager and CEO.

It's not an Arsenal situation where they didn't have the financial firepower to compete with Chelsea whilst they were building the Emirates and then have a very stubborn manager

They spent a shit load last year as they needed to get back into the cash cow league. This year they've spent money, but they've sold more than they've bought and lowered the wage bill. Their squad is smaller and weaker, there is no way that is an attempt to push on, that's treading water at best.

They are the Hyacinth Bucket of football clubs; even unto their name.
So that's why Rooney signed for them....

Im not writing these twats off yet. Can see them making a couple of big signings before the window shuts. If not they are going to struggle and I think LVG knows that

They'll do well to get a £100 Million deal over the line on deadline day. . . Not saying it couldn't happen, it just seems unlikely.

I mean, just look how long De Bruyne's taking for us! To get a superstar signing done in a day would be some feat!

If you look at the rags net spend so far this summer, it is pretty close to zero. Methinks that, as has been said, they obviously knew they had to splash out last summer to get back in the chumps league. However, I also reckon that the Glazers would not have been happy at seeing all that money going out of the club, particularly on the spectacular flop that was Tia Maria. I reckon he could be on a very tight budget this season, and may have been told he can have a much smaller amount, plus whatever he could recoup on the bat eared flop.
I may be proved wrong, and they bring in Bale, Kane and Neymar on deadline day, but I'm doubting it. Maybe a late bid for Berahino, with De Gea leaving, will keep them close to zero net spend.
May I just add: SCUM.

They sold Di Maria but even allowing for that their incomings match outgoings this window.
