When we go behind why do we go so quiet? 110/111 try to keep it going but even when we sang "south stand give us a song" or "singing section you're having a laugh" we got nothing???? 110/111 kept on "when the blues go marching in" for ages until the end. Just like Juve we need to keep it loud win lose or draw. Ctid.

You hear what you want to hear, and the people around you seem louder and drown out singing from elsewhere. I stand in the south stand 114 and have heard practically nothing from 110/111 all season. I and the people around me have been singing non-stop all season, including today. Despite not being able to hear them, i'm not idiotic enough to suggest 111/110 haven't been singing all season

I sit in the silent section....win...lose or draw...its no different...oh!! Apart from you may leave a few more minutes earlier....Its never going to change.

Agree with you, but their early goal, following on from Tuesday, probably knocked the stuffing out a tad

Sitting, second half, in the West Stand the noise came from the South Stand and a minority in the corner of the east stand.

I did hear that chant in the second half and thought it was juvenile, particularly as the South Stand, rather than just being a singing section in a couple of blocks, generates noise throughout the stand. That cannot be said for the East Stand

Watford game 115 sang 'kippax kippax give us a song' no response from 111.

111 did nothing against juve or watford but hey ho, couple of songs today and they're dortmund !

We're all blues & main thing is ... its getting better

These threads piss me off its like a 110/111 v 115/116
At the end of the day we should be in unison not competing and looking to take cheap shots at one another.
After a promising start atmosphere wise the last two games have been poor and it's no coincidence those are games we've struggled in and ultimately lost.
As much as people might want a continous singing section it's only going to happen if we're performing on the pitch.
I'm in 115 and it's noticeable that 2/3 of the block go silent when we're up against it

The acoustics must be even worse than first thought.

i was sat in level 3 of the east stand against bayern, dortmund and aris and heard everything they were chanting word for word, acoustics aren't the problem its people not singing..

Im kinda in agreement with the op the singing block is great and is helping, however I've been in 119 in the south stand for the watford and juve game and apart from a few in that block the rest of the south stand dont really sing.. 110 and 111 i could hear from where i was stood and it still seems to be the place to go for singing imo. it is getting better though compared to last year.I keep posting in threads like this as i want it to get better and hopefully it will

Wind your necks in. Noise so far this season is better than 90% of games last season. And yes, that's honestly the first time I've heard 110/111 - glad they've started to bother

Just about sums it up.

You get the best atmospheres when the singers stand at the front rows stand/block. The sound carries around the ground far better that way.

When singers congregate at the back of a stand the sound is gulfed by the overhang and only travels down the block. Therefore the rest of the stand struggles to hear any songs, never mind the rest of the ground.

Until the Singing Section realises this the atmosphere will never be much cop for non big Prem games (they take care of themselves) and will carry on struggling.
