Hoping Fernando is over that injury now. Played the full 90 mins so looks like it

Couldn't really ask for much more than that. I thought it might be more difficult than that.

Good job we didn't get any more injuries.
 
So that's what happens when we get a decent referee lol.
Kevin De Bruyne had another great game, lovely goal and assist.
Thought Raheem had a good game, a nice goal and assist for him too.
Nice to see the youngsters, they did just fine. Amazing that George Evans has played every level for us.
Glad Agüero got a goal. The miss was unreal but feel we can laugh about it. Beast mode will be on soon.
Final mention goes to our much maligned Fernando who was good tonight and I'm hoping will have a great second season.
 
Makes a change seeing us stuff them again after all those seasons we came away after losing 1-0.

Got to feel a bit sorry for Sunderland though. They look a complete mess and really should be doing better than they are. Should have got Allardyce in the summer rather than persisting with a manager who is effectively a lame duck.

KDB is a delight to watch, we are through to the next round, Sergio will be scoring for fun soon, Zabbas back training, Silva will be strumming his string soon enough and Yaya wants it again.

Oh, and the oil ain't running out for decades.

First time I've been called a plum, casting aside personal "asides" I disagree (it's all about opinions eh?) I think his mind is muddled, he did something very similar against the Hammers early in second half - looking for a cute finish when something more straightforward was on - IMO he shows signs of insecurity, keep it simple Sergio would be my message

Didn't Advocaat want to leave in the summer? Same rule as for the players imo, if they want to leave start looking for a replacement.
 
Good result tonight, great to see George Evans, Garcia and Roberts get starts in the latter part of the match, the defence had a few wobbles but settled down, thought De Bruyne did well tonight also Ya Ya was a handful and Sterling had a good game as well, good to see Aguero get a goal but isn't 100%, and thought Fernando put in a good shift.......anyhow well done guys............
 
I am pleased with us coming through the tie unscathed although a clean sheet would of been the icing on the cake. Notable performances from Fernando and De Bruyne.
 
Job well done and team selection spot on. Killed the game off before half time and back to winning ways.
 
Just got in from work and missed the commentary and match thread. Why was Bony not involved?
 
Got what we needed, solid night, KDB is awesome, shame the second half was so flat, the young lads, could have done with a bit more but nice to see them anyhow, onto Spurs now, how's Silva and Kompany doing?
