Here's my effort... I've tried to include everything that's relevant without making it too clunky. Excuse the fact that the maroon was done on Paint

I'd be happy with maroon turnovers. I also don't mind navy trim on the home kit, and as I said navy socks would definitely be my first choice.

However, I'm adamant white should ALWAYS be part of our kit. More specifically the shorts should always be white.

Regarding the red Manchester CoA crest, I think people are being a bit precious not wanting any red whatsoever. Red is the colour of the Manchester crest, it's the colour of the Lancashire rose, both of which were on our kit until 1997.

Some people are going on like 97 was a great purge of all things red being associated with the badge. But most match going blues I know think the 97 eagle badge is an abomination and want to go back to an updated version of our previous roundel badges. (All of which included red).

Most of the match going blues that I know (with season tickets going back decades) think the eagle badge is excellent/progressive and is associated with far more success than the old fashioned round one from days gone by.

Have they all got tattoos of it too?

This is worth another quote.

(oops it didn't quote what you quoted.... so screen shot of it below!)

Yep - old badge redone exactly the same would be my choice. Doubt they will though, but live in hope. Fed up of all the anti red in the badge bollocks on here - forgot about red and black stripes have we? And red was on our badge til 1997, don't be bitter and childish folks..

I heard a couple of morons (no offense!) who sounded 12 but looked about 20 behind me (the usual people weren't there today) discussing the badge, they sounded like giddy kids as they said the "eagle is fantastic and shows strength and class as a strong bird and team". Sod that!

It takes all sorts I suppose. I've been going home and away for 30 years, never met a match going fan that doesn't hate the 3 stars. Can't remember meeting one who likes the chicken badge, but there's one or two who like the latin.

The survey only open to match going fans, I'll have you a friendly bet that among match going blues the round badge beats the eagle badge by a landslide.

No offence taken, as I am in my sixth decade I have a thick skin. ;-) From a marketing point of view however the eagle badge, whilst not immediately Manchester relevant, is indeed a strong identity whereas the old fashioned round one is weak, incipid and difficult to promote in a meaningful and identifiable way, but if that's what the old fan guard want (the same old fan guard, including myself incidentaly, who stood on the Kippax loyaly watching, in the later years, an unsuccessful team) then who are the new billionaire owners with a vision for global expansion with previously unimagined success planned, to stand in the way of a badge containing a Lancashire Rose, a few lines representing rivers and an insect?

Not to sure about that

At least on this page people who like the strangled chicken have given their reasons why even if they are wrong. :)

Most other pages people have articulated why they prefer the older badges where the people who like the chicken just say "I like it"...

I hope you're right @Shaelumstash.
