I would say that the US sports media is fairly new to the game of football. Highlights on Sportcenter only really began probably around the 2010 World Cup, so with us being there or thereabouts since then we are on fairly equal footing. Winning the league in 2012 the way we did, did us no harm and was the lead story for the day haha. In general the sports media is a lot more balanced over here. The sly digs that the English media get away with are shocking to most American fans I believe, it's a sight to behold because that just doesn't happen over here.
Add to the fact that NYCFC has been a big coup for the owners/club. It's pretty amazing the amount of City shirts you see walking the streets of NYC these days. Not just NYCFC, but MCFC kit. I'd go so far as to say we are dominating the NYC market compared to all other football clubs with possibly the exception of Barcelona.

The injuries have stopped our best players being in there (Vinny, Sergio, Silva), KDB probably joined to late and Otamendi did not start to begin with.

What you're doing here is taking a "pro United" story, of which there are many, and conflating it into meaning it's anti City. This is one of the more fundamental nonsenses of this thread. It's surely time for City fans to stop playing the victims and embrace the fact that we're the relatively new kids on the block (in terms of the Premier League) and the lazy journalists, who've been on easy street for years, don't like it. They've cultivated their relationships for years, with no sustained challenge to the status quo, and they're on the defensive. Most of them don't have either the wit or imagination to embrace change (and, to be fair to them, change is not a concept that plays easily to many people) so they spout what they know and what is received wisdom about what the proper order of things is. People can either rail against the media or do what I, and lots of others, do and not give a shit about what 'they' say. This has always worked for me.

One of the best and most correct TOTS so far imo. Could argue for Sagna and Kompany but Bellerin and Van Dijk/Smalling have been excellent too.

No where did I say it was anti City. I'm just providing a example of how positive certain journalists can be to another club.
The main City headlines are about us changing manager, despite Pellegrini being one of the longest serving in the league and having just signed a new contract. Now, I can see why Pep would be linked but it's pushing it with Ancelotti.
Also, it can be sometimes difficult to completely accept the media when they often come out with complete lies about the club. Maybe you just don't have the same attachment so it doesn't bother you as much.

More United players than City. Most goals scored, best goal difference, top of the league and top of the Champions League's 'hardest' group but only one City player?
Just to confirm, not one City player has won a football writers or players player of the year award despite us having the best record over 5 years.
No City manager has won the best manager award. Brendan Fucking Rodgers won it over double winning Pellegrini, with the award then going to 'genius' Mourinho for doing the same thing a year later.
Oh and Aguero has never made the PL team of the season.
This team rarely ever gets the credit it deserves.

Yes I do agree that we're often being overlooked by the media but this time I don't think that we're being treated unfair. Which City player(s) do you think deserves to be in this team?

Maybe I don't have the same attachment to the club as you? That must be it, well done. What I do know, is that if I see an article about the rags in a paper or online, I wouldn't even read it, let alone copy it and paste into a City forum.
Kompany, Sagna, Kolorov and at a push KDB.
No way Kolarov has been better than Monreal. Monreal has been suberb this season.
As has Kolorov. He's actually been in a couple of teams of the year I've seen so far from various journalists/media.
I might be biased though...
