Attacks in Paris

I admire your optimism. I don't share it. However, I do agree that everyone has a right to criticise when justified. You will have seen that some who have laid into Islam on this thread don't want to discuss Israel, for example, and others seem to be personally insulted that I described the IRA as Catholics!

For the record id like to say personally I hate every religion equally and some like the Catholic Church don't get near enough criticism they deserve. One of the major points in this discussion is if Islam plays a part in these recent events. The shootings in Paris have nothing to do with Judaism or Christianity so not sure why it should be brought up. If the ira bombings happened more recently I'm sure no one would be discussing Islam in that thread.

Why do we keep going back to the Ira. There is a fundamental problem with a percentage of Muslims being radicalised in Europe through extremist teachings which must be largely through mosques. Also the UK prisons are a breeding ground for Muslim extremism. It is a huge problem and with the growth in the Muslim population in this country it is only going to get worse in the next 30 years. Even if Isis is wiped out, the extremists will remain. The do gooders like Coleridge can waffle on all they want. I would imagine in my lifetime the UK population which is Muslim will pass 40 percent and the problems will just get worse. Gelsons dad is clearly no idiot and he has quoted 37 percent of young Muslims in support of sharia law. May I ask a simple question - why the fuck would we want to keep adding to this problem through more immigration if a percentage of those coming in want to destroy our way of life? It's fucking madness and all the political correctness in the world will not change that. Awaits racist racist racist comments. Well if being racist means I don't want the likes of that monster who has co- ordinated these attacks in this country then yes I am. And I couldn't give a shit if he was yellow, green or orange. He is just a fucking nutter who follows some cult and wants to bomb or shoot us. Please do it elsewhere.

Are the statistics true or false? Some posters might criticise Islam and rightly so but they certainly don't dislike Muslims or "Browns"

Yes i noted that, but had to ignore it because it was a shitty thing to do trying to link the position of disliking militant islam and being racist.
Simplistic over-generalization deserves to be ignored as it aims to muddy the waters and dilute or derail the topic of debate.

@coleridge not that i need to help you look any more ill educated/informed on certain issues here is the definition of belief...

noun
noun: belief; plural noun: beliefs
1
.
an acceptance that something exists or is true, especially one without proof.
"his belief in extraterrestrial life"

I will leave it there because you don't kick a man when he has fed himself rope, hung himself then dug the whole and lay down in it do you :-D
Others have noted it better than i anyway.

Seems this story about the Muslim security guard being a hero is a bit of a myth. The guy who was interviewed was stationed INSIDE the stadium by the players' tunnel and was told of events by a friend who was outside.

Whoops. Proof that you should be sceptical about everything you read in the media and particularly about stuff on Facebook.

You don't seem to like Muslims much. It wasn't snide. I clearly said that you were a bigot [not a racist]. Tell me otherwise.
I dislike all religions equally. Note it is the religion I dislike. Your claim that I don't like Muslims is false. I judge every man by the man. You said I didn't like muslims/browns. If you had seen the colour of my skin you would realise how stupid that statement is.

Whilst people are arguing about Religion IS are getting a right old blasting from the Russians, they appear to have made the same mistake as Hitler in trying to fight more enemies than they have the resources to cope with, people like to beleive the journalistic hype about IS but a force of some 20,000 needs a hell of a lot of ammunition let alone logistical support to carry on, with the world arms markets effectively closed to them, (and reports of wage cuts dressed up as a test of faith for some front line fighters) their end will come soon, that's why they are so dangerous at the moment they are cornered in their heartland so they are lashing out
My friend is an Iraqi Kurd. When she told us she was going back to Iraq to visit some family in the Summer a few of us thought she was mad to be doing so. She said she'd be fine. When she came home (and was fine) she said that ISIL are nowhere near as big and powerful as our media had been making out. The Kurdish army is more powerful than IS. The only thing with the Kurds is that they're not only fighting against IS, but also against Turkey in Turkey, and with Turkey against IS. Bizarre!

That is the kind of mood music I have been gleaming (although I ma no expert just an interested observer) they got a massive boost with the capitulation of the Iraqi Army (and lots of arms) but as I have pointed out it can't last because in order to maintain their advantage they need infrastructure, it' s more like a 17th Century pirate state run by a bizarre death cult, they honed their advantage with extreme brutality making their opponents fear them before a shot had been fired, a very old tactic used by the Vikings

Clever play on words and probably she would have had a more positive response than this lot of clowns now.

I must say i have found Cameron to be more of a financial accountant than prime minister.
He does not seem to do very much in regards to leadership. A bit like how we got rid of Nev for Churchy when we needed a strong leader.
Not saying we need a war minded pm either just noting he is much more of the Chamberlain cut of cloth.
