Talksport

Quinn's incitement will have the opposite effect. City are not a second division club with 8000 attendance's visiting the home of the European Cup holders and in expectation of a thrashing. The tables have been well and truly turned and any vocal abuse of Raheem by 3000 dippers will be drowned out by over 50000 blues. Pity I can't be there to join in the gloating

Danny Murphy defending our performance last night. He reckons we lost as the ref didn't give a foul instead of the goal and no one would be talking about it if we hadn't drawn with villa and dicked by the dippers.

I cringe when I hear Mickey Quinn open his mouth on talksport. Another presenter who played the game professionally and comes out with deluded view points such as the sterling situation and Newcastle being a big club. Apparently the loyal Geordies follow the club through thick and thin but got 13,000 gates when they dropped into the 3rd tier of english football.
Newcastle have not won a DOMESTIC trophy (old 1st or premier league,F A Cup or league cup) since 55,that's 60 year's yes 60 years and they say it's a big club

I'll simplify it.
Don't be silly.

Utterly ridiculous to claim they aren't a big club. If Newcastle had the same sort of investment we've been lucky enough to have, or even if they had someone in charge who was actually competent, they have the potential to be fucking huge.

They used to be a big club and it's true that if they had the right kind of investment they could be once again. However, they haven't won the League since 1927, the FA Cup since 1955 and have never won the League Cup. In the last 60 years they've won the Inter Cities Fairs Cup in 1969 which they bizarrely qualified for by finishing as low as 10th because the old 'one city, one club' rule disqualified Everton, Spurs and Arsenal who all finished above them. That doesn't make them a big club right now in my book.
