Not often you win 4-1 and still shake your head at the manager. Its criminal the way he neglects youth
Are they not playing tomorrow

Then why do our board and owners continue with the holistic shit if we ain't fucked about youth. Something has to give. It's a results business and he/we got a result.
Are you for real?. Great team selection, great result and you still want to moan .Not often you win 4-1 and still shake your head at the manager. Its criminal the way he neglects youth

Got to disagree, it can be frustrating but we have 2 sets of first teamers. Failing to play fringe players or players battling for a first team spot will lead to bad morale and tension that the manager won't want which is what we had under Mancini in his final year.
Come on, he brought on a 34 yr old who has played the last 3 or 4 games. I'm sure DeMichelis is man enough to not mind if he doesnt get 5 minutes v Hull

As i've said on another thread. What benefit to the payer or team does 6 minutes give any of the youth players.
If Manuel thinks they can do the job required, they will get time. See Kelechi.
6 minutes first team action in a competitive game will give the youth player a huge boost. Lets face it, they're not likely to get any more time than that.
You seem to keep ignoring the EDS have a big game tomorrow. They play Athletico Bilbao in the Intercontinental Cup.
If you're going to be so desperate to moan, at least know what you're moaning about.
Why is that a big game? None of these youngsters are getting anywhere near the first team squad with Pellegrini in charge so what difference does it make?
Our fans are as bad if not worse than the media for putting pressure on Pellegrini. It's rare he gets any praise. Tonight being an example, wins 4-1 and fans think a kid who's already played with first team, scored for the first team would benefit more in a dead game for 5 minutes than a very competitive and rewarding game at his own level.
10 mins not 5, but, that aside, can't he do both? It's not really an either-or situation, is it?
Why couldn't Humphreys come on and sit infront of the back 4 for 10 mins? What does Demi get out of it other than a shower?

I doubt they would consider both. What would Humphreys get out of 5-10 minutes of non competitive football? A debut? I'm sure he'll get one of those. Has anyone considered that these kids might want to earn their debuts? Rather than be given a token 5 minutes here or there regardless based purely on age. This isn't cubs, players get games based on ability.
Txiki seems to like a different system for youth than most on here seem to. From what I know of his time at Barcelona, players earn their start, spending months around the first team, learning the system, the style. The level of commitment it takes to make it.
What many seem to be suggesting is 'just toss them, give them a chance' well that method has been tried and failed. Barcelona have their young players in and around the first team for months, minutes here, minutes there, becoming and feeling established in the squad. Trusted by their seniors. Then when needed they are ready. I doubt all this expense in both money and recruitment of staff and young talent has been laid out just to 'give em a go'.
Some of our fans need to realise what they think best, is most probably pretty fucking far from what those that matter think. Fans want to blame Pellegrini, those fans have a very basic understanding of how we are ran. Do our fans really think that the club have invested all this money, brought in a director and chief exec with a history of incredible youth development to be over ruled by Pellegrini. The tail doesn't wag the dog. Not at City.
