I think, just at the minute, we should be grateful for the low media profile.
It's all we ever get!

I'm sorry, but do you honestly think no one had noticed how utterly disgraceful Yaya's defensive "efforts" had been in the game until after the game and Carragher mentioned it? Because there is no helping you if you do. Either that or a lot of us can see the future, as I'll guarantee you that I wasn't the only one yelling at my TV while Yaya slowed down, then stopped after players broke past him.Sorry but that is just bull, your dancing to the pundits tune. We absolutely controlled the game and the stats prove it, if you want something more reliable than a bitter scouser then I suggest you look at those stats, they say it all. Congrats to Arsenal, they took their chances, it wasn't our night but that had f*ck all to do with Yaya.
No, Arsenal played quite cautiously for 30 mins, we had more possession and more territory but we did nothing to threaten their goal until the KdB/Silva counter attack followed by Arsenal scoring with their first meaningful attacks, in the course of which Yaya was completely bypassed as per usual when he plays in a midfield two. It's not all Yaya's fault, some blame has to go to Pellegrini for the way we set up but we didn't control the game in the sense that you imply or we would have won it.Sorry but that is just bull, your dancing to the pundits tune. But the possession was meaningless passes in triangles deep in our own half. Nothing penetrating or pushing arsenal onto the back foot, just the same predictable, safe balls that we see week after week. He can play them all night when he's not pressed, which if you were watching you'd have noticed he wasn't. Arsenal were more than happy to sit back and let us top the possession stats.Sorry but that is just bull, your dancing to the pundits tune. Sorry but we controlled the game right up until the goal, if anything it was relatively easy for us. Credit to Walcott, it was a great finish, and never a truer phrase than 'goals change games' For 15 minutes we lost our heads, none more so than Mangala, which was simply an awful pass. To then turn that into yet another 'anti-yaya' rant was nothing short of ridiculous based on how the game went. Pellegrini was absolutely right that the 2nd goal killed us but to that was nothing to do with Yaya.
It was a little OTT, but not that much. If anything, I think he just focussed on the obvious target, probably swayed by previous instances.
"Controlling the game" - well, City had the ball but unfortunately did naff all with it for most of the time.
As had Arsenal up until the goal....but with even less of the ball.
I hate this "he's not there to defend" bollocks. Everyone is there to defend, it's a team game. No one player is allowed to just not bother tracking runners because they fancy saving their energy in case they might need it in the last 10 minutes, the game should have been dead by the time he decided to start running. They should have scored 2 or 3 goals in that second half by running off Yaya and it's the same every time he plays (or jogging, as running isn't really needed to escape someone who isn't even trying to catch you). If Yaya is doing exactly what the coaches want then they should be fired, as it's fucking criminal. No I hadn't noticed it but then all players are in the team to perform different jobs. If you think Yaya is being picked to run back towards his own goal and break up the play then I would suggest there is no helping you either. Similarly, if you think Arsenal were bossing the game then there's no help for you.
I also wonder why Pellegrini, the coaching staff, Begiristain and those involved closely with the squad, coaching and team set-up (unlike Carragher) also don't seem to agree with you either ? If you think a 3 yard pass from Ozil somewhow proves Carraghers point then we may as well analyse every 3 yard pass in the game and look at players positioning.
You pays yer money you takes yer choice but I'll trust the 'experience' in our coaching staff as to what job they actually want Yaya to perform and whether he is doing it effectively - over a scouse defender with an axe to grind...
Of course Yaya came into his own as they tired and we chased the game but to expect him (or any player) to play like that for 90 minutes is fanciful in the extreme.
Sometimes a goal is simply down to great play from the opposition and Koscielny's pass into Walcott was a good one that bypassed all our players but somehow Carragher found a way to blame Yaya...

Yaya is the one who gets the stick because he is the one who is not trying. That is unforgivable in most peoples eyes. Most people will forgive people making mistakes, they will forgive people making bad decisions, but to just not even try will always annoy a lot of people and quite rightly so. He sees what he's supposed to do, he sees how to help his team, but he chooses not to do it out of pure laziness. He's not positioning himself for a counter, or trying to do anything productive from an attacking perspective, he is simply not bothering to try and help the team as he doesn't think it's worth the effort.Exactly, it's a team game so why everything seems to come back to Yaya perhaps maybe you can tell me ? The ONLY reason they started to get in behind us was precisely because we were two goals behind and had to push more than normal to get a goal, that would be true whether it was Yaya Toure in midfield or anyone else. Yaya is not being picked to help us out defensively whether you like it or not. Our coaching staff happen to think he brings more to the team by being in the side than not, and with the current choice of midfielders I would agree. I'd far sooner see Yaya Toure on the team sheet on a match day than not, the coaching staff agree with me. You perhaps don't agree which is fine but I would strongly say you are wrong.
The fact of last night was that we controlled the game for long periods with Yaya Toure in the central midfield role and the stats bear that out. Arsenal took their chances and one of those we gift wrapped to them. That had absolutely nothing to do with Yaya Toure and everything to do with a fantastic finish from Walcott and a horrible mistake from Mangala.
I keep getting told we have the best squad by many City fans and pundits, whilst in the same breath telling us that our main central midfielder is past it !!? Work that one out....
Interesting stuff, and thanks for going to the trouble and posting on here.Anyway, onto more important things. I've updated my list of BBC Gossip Column stories. This is me adding up the number of stories that the BBC decide to mention in that column related to the Filth, Arse, Chelsea, Liverpool and us. Anyway, I've been keeping score since 1 Nov (yes, I know how sad it is). Here are the scores as at today (Chelsea are only close to the Rags due to Mourinho's sacking):
Rags - 216
Chelsea - 201
Liverpool - 121
Arsenal - 118
City - 87
We really are shite!
Christ, even in the 'Media Hate Us' thread, Yaya gets slaughtered!
