Isco (merged)

Serious question to those who watch La Liga, is Isco a naturally wide player? The reason I ask is that we already have Silva, Sterling, De Bruyne and Nasri, who to me are more naturally central players but often asked to play wide due to necessity, does it make sense to have a fifth? All fantastically gifted players but maybe to the detriment of being able to play with natural width and/or a second striker?
He played on the wing cutting in as an inside forward a lot for Malaga and he is levels above Nasri at playing on the wing. He probably has more confidence than Navas to take people on too but hasn't got Navas' pace.

The key thing is we will have an heir to Silva - Nasri has never been able to do Silva's job for us when Silva has been out.

Fantastic purchase on many levels, not least because he will create genuine competition for places in creative/attacking midfield...much needed kick up the arse for some

Now if we could add a quality CB we are set for some silverware..

Fuck me, is this actually happening then?

Surprised if this is the case and we are getting what appears to be a free run at him.

I've always wanted Isco here and will be disappointed if he doesn't come after this latest rumour talk.

Think This is done Isco was seen on camera rubbing his eyes in astonishmentthat Kroos started over him. And now it's coming out his attitude s wrong so 2 and 2 with the media and he's on his way here.

Thought it was because he was surprised that kroos was on the bench, he then laughed it off

He's turned us down once - I'd be surprised if he's asked twice.

The manner in which he turned us down the first time couldn't have helped either. Everyone here seemed to think he was in the bag.

No idea what sort of stock our owners or management put in that though.

I think this represents Iso's last opportunity to get a move to City, after he turned us down last time. He has to push for the move at his end, which by all accounts he is doing.

My only worry would be if Benitez gets sacked and replaced by Zidane, who might try and persuade Isco to stay.

Would be the last person I would be listening too if I were Isco. Was it not Zidane who said he wasn't coming to Real to be a bench warmer? Then they went and bought James?

We clearly had a plan for Isco and that still stands as far as him fitting into this squad now. Go get him city, he's a silva, a yaya an Aguero calibre player and those types are only ever an asset to a team.

Zidane won't become manager mid season

City of 3 years ago is different to now. Difficult when the likes of Madrid come in for a young Spanish player for them not to be tempted. Pep in charge, huge campus, Chinese link, regularly getting out the group stages of the Champions League, few more trophies maybe- who wouldn't fancy a bit of that now?
